Yesterday was Blog Like It Isn't You Day, and as you may have noticed, I was blogging as Tasha. She's a minor OC for one of my original verses; it's fun to write as Tasha, she's so non-angsty. Unless someone mentions the name Devlin. Generally very upbeat and cheerful and bright-side. Like I said, fun. I should've apped her to the Rift instead of ( Read more... )

I missed Blog Like It Isn't You Day. :( Sad.

Also, I really need to get working on my story, since I need to post it this weekend! I'll probably pick something out of that unstory I posted and elaborate on it. I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

I'm sure there'll be another one sometime.

The time's gone by really fast, hasn't it? I've really got to finish and at least attempt a polish before this weekend.

I should be able to work on it tonight or tomorrow night. I'm waiting to hear about a job so I'm a bit anxious right now.

There's a legitimate reason to be nervous -- good luck! I hope you get it! <3

Me too! I should hear about it tomorrow. I sat by my phone all day today but no call. He said they would be calling people on Tuesday or Wednesday (and they're calling everyone, cuz he told me to call if they didn't), but I told him I may have to work all day on Tuesday so I think he is waiting until tomorrow to call, if they've even decided yet.

I really really really want it! It's at the Imax theatre at the science centre... my geekiness actually helped in the interview! We bonded over being geeks! And it's unionised, so by union rules I have to have my schedules at least two weeks in advance (unlike the maybe 24 hours, if I'm lucky, that I get now), and also a raise every 500 hours. And then I can be all on the side of the workers and worker's rights and stuff, and not just a pretty well off banker's daughter. XP But mostly it's the schedules thing. I don't even care that I'd have to pay union dues. It seems fair to me.

Geekery helped get me hired for my upcoming job! I laugh at the people who say geekiness hurts you in the real world. HA.

That does seem fair. And awesome. I really hope you get it, it sounds like the perfect job for you! <3

Well I didn't hear today, but maybe tomorrow? My friend Dani put in a good word for me and she thinks it sounds like they are going to hire me. Everyone likes Dani (I've never met anyone who didn't), so maybe her reference is what I needed? I really really want this job, and I've been waiting by the phone for TWO FUCKING DAYS now (and a little pissed off about it, since Travis said they would call today or yesterday), so they better call tomorrow. Mostly so I can quit tomorrow at my current job and not have to work another week, since she does the schedules usually on the Saturday, for the following week, except for a few days that she doesn't (which she calls us in for, at very short notice). I tend to think though, that since she doesn't bother giving me notice of when my shifts are, I shouldn't bother giving her notice of me quitting.

I hate that! Is it so hard for people to call when they say they're going to? BAH I SAY. *hugs*

Ahaha. Yes. This. XD

Well I got the job! All it took was me leaving the house for Travis to call. LOL But I know he can't do this after I'm hired since I have to be given my schedule two weeks in advance. Yay.

I did give Tracy some notice... as in I told her I would work my Saturday shift but that's it.

Congratulations! That's awesome! *celebrates for you*

I have to be given my schedule two weeks in advance.

This is why I support unions, because they make it so much harder for your bosses to screw you over. <3

Win. XD

There's the two weeks in advance schedules, and a raise every 500 hours and 3% every January... Now let's just hope I like the job! I'm sure I will.

Tracy called this morning and told me I don't have to come in tomorrow. Now she'll be working a sixth day this week but I did say I would work. Not my fault.
