Okay this is kind of boring, but I think it's ridiculous and hilarious so here you go.
So Sid is this insurance agent or whatever, he hates his job but he's doing college courses at night so he can get a better job. He lives really close to his job, too, and having a car costs money and why should he take the bus when he can walk, right? So he just dresses up in his suits every single day and walks the few blocks to work, rain or shine, and one day he notices there's construction by his work.
At first it irritates him because he doesn't like the noise, and it's distracting, and he takes the same route to work every day but now he has to go around to avoid being near the sidewalk and street they're working on (there's room, but he doesn't want his suit to get dust on it).
It takes him a few days, but one day he notices a tall guy in a white-that's-not-really-white-anymore wifebeater, all smudged with dust and some grease, and he's huge, and he looks over at Sidney one day as he's walking and smiles, and Sid looks away embarrassedly and hurries off to work.
When he walks home, the guy isn't looking in his direction.
OH THIS IS THREATENING TO GET LONG ON ME.
So pretty much walking keeps happening, and the big guy keeps looking at Sid and one day they end up talking inside the bus stop because it's raining so hard or something, idek, and Sidney finds out that the man's name is Evgeni, or Geno, and he's very Russian, and his smile does funny things to Sidney's insides, and his hands are just as huge as the rest of him, and his crooked smile is really quite endearing, and even though his hair is a mess and he's always dirty, he's funny and his broken English makes Sidney laugh.
Eventually Geno asks him out on a date, so they go out to dinner and Geno cleans up very nicely, his top shirt buttons being undone are very distracting to Sidney the entire evening, and when Geno drops him off back home, grins that crooked grin and kisses Sidney good night, gently nudging at Sidney's cheek with his nose, and Sidney sighs and grips Geno's t-shirt.
He can't invite Geno in for coffee because he has to work early, but Geno says "See you tomorrow, Sid. Have good night." And kisses Sidney again and Sidney maybe has trouble unlocking the door after those kisses.

It's embarrassing how &hearts.&hearts I am over the thought of construction worker Geno. Yesplz. And I loooooooooove this.
