Thank you all for all your kind words and support for our baby dancing efforts!!! I really appreciate it. I sometimes worry about whether I should have children because we all know I'm crazy but it makes me happy to know that you all have faith in Chris and I! I love you! I meant to say this to you all a lot earlier but that would have required posting more and everyone knows I'm allergic to that :)
Things are going ok on the baby making front. It's fun baby dancing (code term for getting it on:), but all the rest of it is frustrating as hell! I have ovulated for two months in a row so that's good!! Yea go O! However, still not preggo, oh well. It will take awhile but I am happy just to know that I'm ovulating, that way it's at least a possibility :)
Bad news time...my dad has stage 3 squamous cell cancer under his tongue on the floor of his mouth. He has met with an ENT and the oncologist and due to his insurance(shitty) and the possibility of saving more of his mouth (surgery would require taking out a part of his jaw too) we have decided to go with chemo and radiation before surgery. First step is getting rid of dad's teeth. They are so decayed that radiation would eat them up and due to the bacteria in them he would be easily susceptible to infection. Unfortunately, Medicaid doesn't pay for ANY adult dental procedures (don't even get me going on how much bullshit that is considering that gum disease and tooth decay contribute to heart disease!!) so we are meeting with the Social Worker at the cancer center on Thurs to determine how we might be able to have the tooth extractions covered. After teeth come out the chemo and radiation start. Fun times! Grrr. Good news is that the ENT said this type of cancer is very treatable and curable so all dad has to do is live through treatment! During this ordeal we were also able to get dad an attorney for his battle with Soc Sec for disability. He still doens't have a hearing date but at least we have the attorney now and she can work on the paperwork.
Other than that, things are going good. Chris is working diligently on all the Halloween decorations and props and I doing a lot of smiling and shaking my head at him. I love him so!!! I will help with the Halloween stuff as it gets closer to party time. I usually have more fun with the inside decorations anyway. Hope all is well for all of you!!
