I've never had any particular religious leanings, but I think it's completely retarded to outright assert that there can be no higher power. We don't know everything about the universe that we live in, and dismissing possibilities out of hand is about as unscientific as you can be.
Also, I've been to a lot of church gatherings and masses and worships. In places where people go to church as a matter of faith and love(I've seen a few where people mostly go for social status), well, those places have a power in the air. So much energy flowing around, it's palpable. It may just be the side effect of everyone present being excited. Then again, it may just be some divine presence. Who am I to say it's not?
Give me one logical reason to believe in the existence of God I may be atheist, but this question really pisses me off, because in it is the assumption that believing in god is irrational. Thank you for debunking this idea.
