Thoughts on children, and music.

Okay, so first, children. A discussion I had with a very frustrating individual had me thinking about why... WHY do we learn so much from children? The first and obvious answer is that they are quite clear of negative thoughts that we develop as we get older, and the second obvious factor is that they think with such tender simplicity that we often ( Read more... )

Heh, does your bit about kids means you want me to become as blunt as I was in high school again? 'Cause I will. ^_~

Upbeat music can also be angry too. I know 'cause I listen to a lot of it. XDD

Your post is always an interesting read. Thanks. ^_^

yes yes.. you're the second person to point out music varies.. of course I know it does. I was just giving simplistic examples... do you people really think I view music so simply? hahaha

:P And my bit about kids simply means I think we should all be more open to learning, which will in turn cause others to learn from us, so that it will become a huge, mutual benefit for society.

There is a certain way in which "blunt" is acceptable :P Children are usually blunt with no notion of insulting or with any negative connotation attached to their words.. they usually say them with an honest sincerity which we find endearing. It's harder to accept bluntness from older people because we tend to assume there is a negativity behind the comment...

So no wickedness from you young lady :P

You are 100% bang on when you say that the universe is one ever-changing never-ending piece of musik! I've heard it and it's why I make musik ( ... )

Ah, nuts! Just finsihed reading his theory and the fellow makes one too many assumptions based on previous assumptions with no concrete conclusions. Further to that, his argument sounds a little convoluted given the way he interprets the phrase and where he puts his emPHAsis on the content. If you take the simplicity of Ockham's razor to this, it totally falls apart. But hey, his ideas aren't bothering me!

The preface of the fact that angels singing isn't mentioned in the Bible has me scratching my morning scruff...

haha I never read the whole thing actually XD just the sections where he mentions Lucifer as an angel of music (haha! maybe that's how Phantom of the Opera got their idea for that song...since they portray the phantom as a sort of "demon" at times..a "fallen angel", so to speak)..

But I actually remember a sermon at my church about Lucifer once being made for music so this can't be the only interpretation.. So if you're interested I'm sure there's a lot more.. better-written stuff out there hahaha.
