I love the challenges @ otherworldlyric because they offer the chance to create the icon starting from the text, the opposite of what I usually do. :D

That looks an interesting com. So many of my pieces have come about from a lyric or a line in a fic. Maybe this idea would help me get inside icons.

I love the way you combine words and images to create amazing artwork!
Inspiration is very tricky for me, sometimes I read a verse and picture a scene immediately, but more often I draw a total blank.

The comm is great fun and it welcomes lots of different fandoms, this year I tried working with the new Dracula, before I was very fond of Being Human, but the Buffyverse is forever! ;)

I think sometimes the words just call to something inside you. I read the current challenge and got a blank. Absolutely. It's why I have a hard time doing banners for other people's stories sometimes. I can't get inside the words to find a theme that speaks to me.
I's probably starve if I had to live on commissions, I think. :D
