Furano, buffets, dolls, and games

Furano was beautiful!  The hike was pretty long, but really fun.  There were voulunteers all along the way pointing which way to go, and rest stops for water and the like.  They gave us a bag with tissues, maps, and mochi.  ^_^  Which was also nice to have.  There wasn't time to shop for souveniers though, and that made me kinda sad.  I only had 5 hours in Furano, and ALL of it was spent hiking.   I did get to stop quickly at the Furano cheese factory, and the furano wine house... and also at a place called the "forest clock" which was actually a little bar/cafe.  It was in a lovely location though!  (didn't eat there.)
Also along the way, I talked a lot with this old Japanese guy.  (who told me about his grand kids and so on... so cute!)  So though I went alone, I had company once I was there.  I should know to expect that.  It seems to happen a lot when I do stuff on my own.

After the Furano trip, I made it back to Sapporo by 5 pm.  (which is pretty amazing, since furano is over 2 hours away by train.)  So then I went to Karaoke with coworkers.  It was fun, as always.  I truly love Karaoke!  ^_^  I didn't do the best job ever though.  I'm starting to get a little sick.  (my throat hurts... again.  I caught one of my coworkers' colds.)  Anyway, still fun, and I enjoyd it.
Sunday, Matt, Tara and I went to a buffet and ate TOO MUCH food.  So good though.  Gotta go back to that buffet.  It was GOOD.

And pictures are still coming.  I'll add those later.  I'm pretty tired and it takes so much time... I'm lazy!  (and I have a lot of stuff to get done here... so I'm keeping really busy in the apartment too.)

In other news, with Dolls, I got a body for Kiyoshi!  ^_^  Domuya's Flexi body.  It was 50% off, and I've been so curious about the flexis.  I know they're hard to handle, but I love posability so much... I have to try it!  See how well I manage.  It will fit his character too.  I envision him as kinda floppy.  Not strong, but ready to curl up on the floor and play guitar or read or something, so a flexi really fits that.  I hope the color matches, and it all works well!!!

Also, I'm playing a new game I picked up cheap a while ago.  I only got it 'cause it was 700 yen, and I thought, what the heck?  It looks cute...
but boy am I glad I got it!
So I'm playing along, and this first castle I was in was REALLY big.  I could not for the life of me find anything, and trying to locate the save point (one and only inside)  was driving me CRAZY!  So I picked up a guide for a map.  I opened the guide book, and flipped through, trying to find where the map of the castle was... and all I saw were character pages.  like... lots of them.  lots and lots and lots and lots of them.  They make up 2/3rds of the book.  A lot of them are small and green or red and monster-y though, so I wasn't sure that meant anything.  SO I found my map, and moved on with the game.
Suddenly, Jack (the main character) lost his job as a knight, and moved to a new "guild".  There, some dude at the counter looks at this book on the table and asks "don't you have any friends?  Well, if you get any friends, you can write their names here."  And then Jack looks up and says in his loveable little 'Naruto' voice (same voice actor), "Will you be my friend?"
That's when it clicked.
I'm playing the square-enix version of Suikoden.
!!!
I'M PLAYING THE SQUARE-ENIX VERSION OF SUIKODEN!!!!
I think I'm in love.
Time for me to go recruit stars... I mean... er, friends.
I doubt I'll make it far on this game before coming home.  i really don't have time to play it now, but I'm happy that I can fiddle with it a little at a time, just meeting and befriending characters.  It's the perfect game to have found now.

That's all for this update.  I'll try to upload some new pictures for the next update.  Later!
