HOLY MOTHERFUCKING SHIT. THE GARAGE NEXT DOOR JUST BURNED DOWN.
I heard all these popping noises and assumed it was hail. I heard a car alarm go off, and thought it was because of really intense hail. Then I noticed that the window next to me WAS FUCKING ORANGE. And then I saw that flames had totally engulfed a structure that is/was twenty feet away.
Having always prided myself on keeping a cool head in a crisis, I immediately began saying "oh shit!" over and over, and ran to the phone to dial 911.
Long story short: the garage and the two cars in/by it are a total loss, the guys in the house are shaken but fine, we are INCREDIBLY fucking lucky that it's been raining tonight, and there is an arsonist at large.
