Steven Ma and Louis Yuen in Chinatown NYC!!!
So a few weeks ago, my mom got some tickets from her friend who works at the jewelry store that Steven Ma and Louis Yuen's autograph session was in. I was soooooo excited~~~~ this day was supposed to be one of the best days of my life but god damn it, it was only partially good.
They arrived late, but my mom (who was being really sketchy and just maneuvering all over the place) got to see them go inside. She was so excited XDD My mom just gave me her 2 boxes of DVDs so I could get them to sign; she thinks she's too old for fangirling, but there were ladies way older than her!!
I also discovered that I had left my memory card in my computer when I was erasing images to make room for today... so I had a digital camera with no memory card. I am such fail T_T
People with tickets were supposed to be able to go in before people without tickets, but they just let everyone in at the same time wtf :( I'm also extremely mad that they didn't let us take a picture with him!!! My friends and I just wanted to get a group picture, but they stopped letting ppl get pictures right when it was our turn!! All the people in front of us were able to get pictures with them >___<
The thing I'm the most angry about is the fact that everything is such a blur in my memory, I barely remember what happened! I just remember that I accidently went to get my stuff signed before it was my turn so I had to step back... got a little too excited xDDD And I remember that Steven Ma wasn't sure where on the box to sign (I don't remember whether he asked me where to sign or if it looked like he was going to sign on the wrong spot) so I pointed to the blank area and told him to sign there but I didn't look him in the eye, I think I was just too nervous!!!! OMG when it was my turn I just completely FROZE and didn't know what to do or say XD I think he looked surprised when I brought out the DVD boxes though lol
It also didn't help that the women working there were rushing everything :( my friend was actually promised a photo, there was a professional cameraman who said he'd take a picture for her but the bouncer lady just shoved her away!! Holy shit so rude!! Steven Ma was really nice though, everyone was only allowed 1 signature but my friend asked for another one and he gave it to her!! <3
Just when we thought we wouldn't get a picture, my mom asks her friend who works there, and she said we could get a picture later when the line dies down. Rare second chance!!! So we waited a bit, but the entire line didn't get to go in for an autograph! They stopped the session, and when we tried to go in with my mom's friend it was already too late, they were preparing to leave. We did get to see them leave the store up close, my friend got a really good video of them lol
This the first time I've been to an autograph session like this, so crazy!!! It definitely wasn't organized well :( the people at the end of the line didn't get signatures, and there was a girl who was crying when we left. My mom's friend said that towards the end, people didn't even get to see the two celebrities!! The workers just brought the posters downstairs for them to sign and brought it back up for the people who were waiting! I'm glad that we at least got to see him in person! My friends and I (plus my mom) were all really disappointed that we didn't get a picture though...
I guess my mom's friend took pity on us, so she quietly leaked out some info to us... she told us where they were going for dinner!! She told us they'd be eating at the basement. When we got there, of course, they had reserved the entire basement so we couldn't sit there xD I was surprised that the waiter actually told us that Steven Ma was down there when we asked if we could sit downstairs to eat!! We didn't see them go in, so they must've gone in through a back door or something. No one else eating at the restaurant seemed to know though, I think we were the only ones lol. The bathrooms were downstairs, so we managed to get a peek (the door to the room downstairs was closed, but my friends opened it slightly and peeked lol)
We ate dinner and had finally given up on ever getting that picture. There's no way we would be so rude and barge in on them eating dinner :( We went to the bathroom again after we paid the bill, and the door to the previously closed room was WIDE open, but Steven Ma had already left :( a few of the other people who were eating with him were still there though. While waiting for my friend to finish her business in the toilet, one of the ladies comes out to use the bathroom and she asked us if we were here for his autograph, and that we should've come in earlier because he just left!! She said they would've let us seeing that we were so sincere and came all the way to the restaurant to see him. So that makes our THIRD missed chance!!! Serisouly!! How unlucky can we get :(
OH GOD. I just checked my Facebook, and it turns out that one of my friends is the son of the restaurant's owner. D: D: D:
