Will You Fall For Me?

Title: Will You Fall For Me?
Pairing: Kurogane/Fai
Rating: PG-13
Spoilers: For the Shura arc. Can someone explain to me why it's also known as Yama world? It's really confusing, or maybe I missed something from being unobservant, lol.
Summary:  You don't always need words to understand... and you don't always need words to show you care.
Warning(s): One use of moderate language.
Disclaimer: I do not own TRC.
A/N: The fourth and final song-turned-ficlet. It's not my best (I don't think ficlets ever do show my best; they're too short, which shows how limited I am to bestness, hahaha... I need to express myself in more words and more storyline). Fluff, slight angst, and just a little bit of palpable desire. ^^ Enjoy. Feedback appreciated.

Will You Fall For Me?

Kurogane always kept a beady eye on Fai.

Fai always had Kurogane’s back.

“Hey, aren’t you meant to be with the archers?”

Fai glanced up at the familiar gruff voice, despite not understanding a word that fell from those luscious lips he wanted to kiss so much-

“Nani Kuro-sama?”

Kurogane breathed out a frustrated sigh, running a weary hand through his short crop of black hair. “Never mind. I keep forgetting you don’t understand me anyway. What’s the point of talking? I’m meant to be the one who despises trivial shit like chitchat.” Giving Fai a pointed glare, the ninja began to turn to leave, eyes trailing over beautiful blonde hair that would probably be like velvet to the touch-

“Matte, Kuro-sama.”

Kurogane turned to the soft voice, felt dizzy from the gentle touch of Fai’s hand against the hem of his shirt. “What, mage?” He bit out roughly, trying to control his burning emotions.

“Stay.”

Even though Kurogane did not audibly comprehend his companion (thanks to the inconvenient absence of one white pork bun, he thought darkly), he could still understand exactly what Fai was saying by staring into those pools of blue, rippling in loneliness and sorrow he wanted to help erase-

For once, Fai couldn’t hide his emotions with fake, elated words and false, lively smiles. Everything was told through his eyes… those eyes Kurogane had fallen for over the past two… three? months.

Fai tugged at Kurogane’s clothing again, emphasising what he wanted. With a forced sigh, the ninja plonked himself ungraciously below the tree Fai was sitting under, grumbling under his breath about precocious and annoying magicians who could go to hell.

With a smile, Fai bent his head to rest on Kurogane’s broad shoulder. The taller man tensed for a moment, before relaxing against the mage’s touch. “Kuro-sama is warm.” Fai murmured into Kurogane’s clothes, inhaling his comforting scent that he so loved to revel in-

Kurogane thanked the fact Fai could not see the flush he had failed to control spreading across his pained face.
