incredibly depressing
earshot was a HUUUGE record store that i've spent ridiculous amounts of time/money in, and i just found out that they're shutting their doors. this is the saddest news i've heard in quite a while. it was a meeting place for music lovers of all types. i'll miss the days of waxing poetic about hip hop with the owner randy, i'll miss the days of listening to dj avx spin some of the best underground hip hop nobody's heard of, and most of all i'll miss talking to completely random strangers about their love of music of all types. earshot was one of the very few places in greenville that made me feel like i belonged to a community, and now it's gone.
