Summary : Tipsy Kame after a dose of morphine. Jin being the usual baka who leaves again and Shirota becomes the shrink this time. Apparently, Ryo couldnt continue affairs without Kame. Uchi started whoring himself. Jealous Kame to come and Jin afterwards :D
After more than three quarters of an hour waiting outside the consultation room, Kame finally walks out gloomily from the room and Jin quickly came to stand by his side.
“What did the doctor say?” he asked. Kame’s eyes narrowed at Jin but otherwise the younger boy mumbled softly to himself.
“Kame? Kame?” Jin tried to nudge the younger boy. He was acting so strange.
The general practitioner came and explained the situation to Jin.
“He is fine but he needs to take good care of his arm from now on. He shouldn’t take off the bandages so soon, actually. I had my nurse wrapped a new one for him. He was in much pain when I tried to examine the arm. I gave him some painkillers but…”
“Let’s go home~” Kame whined softly and gripped Jin’s arm, swinging it back and forth.
“The side effects act incredibly fast upon him.” The doctor smiled and patted Jin’s shoulder.
“S-Side effects?”
Kame clung onto Jin’s arm like a pillow even as they got into the car. Of course, Jin was undeniably pleased with Kame’s tipsy state right now. The younger boy hummed a weird tune and occasionally belt out in joy, Jin grinned inwardly as he tried with as much effort he could muster so as to not jump onto Kame.
Jin was driving Kame back to the latter’s place as the older man had confirmed that Kame couldn’t continue working in such state.
He wanted to prod the boy’s immobile being for suddenly falling into quiet mode.
He doesn’t need to because even as silent as it may be, Jin was sure he could hear clearly what Kame was saying - or singing.
The sky you see above won't always be blue
People won't always be kind to you
On stormy nights you'll be near tears
If only you could be there…
Jin turned off the engine of his car as he reached inside the parking lot of Kame’s apartment. The younger boy had stopped singing as well as he realized where they were.
He turned to Jin and stared for awhile, Jin on the other hand returning the stare. Neither of them spoke.
A long five minutes gone by without them saying anything but in the end, Jin gave up and opened the car door, Kame following as he did.
Even as they waited in the elevator to reach the intended floor, Kame caught Jin by surprise when the younger boy suddenly wrapped his arms around Jin’s torso.
“Kazuya…?” Jin’s eyes grew wide as Kame’s fingers started caressing Jin’s clothed chest.
Kame looked up, meeting Jin’s disbelieving gaze. “Hm?”
That fucking ‘Hm’…
Jin groaned when Kame started groping his breasts with two hands. He felt Kame’s face inching closer to his own by the second.
“Why…” Kame started.
Jin looked at him. “Why what?”
“Why…” Kame placed a small kiss on Jin’s neck.
Kame groaned suddenly. He distanced away from Jin and glared at the surveillance camera on the corner of the top.
“Why the hell is this elevator taking so damn long?!” He yelled at the inanimate black object which with all science of reasoning certainly it had remained the same.
Jin exhaled slowly. Elevator… The fucking elevator…
The elevator emitted a sound signaling their arrival at the requested floor and the silver steel door divided open.
“Let’s go,” Jin tilted Kame’s tired face from the wall of the elevator to rest it on his own shoulder - or arm because Kame’s face slide down gradually - and used his arm to curve it around Kame’s waist so that he could carry partly of the latter’s weight to the door of Kame’s apartment.
He tried with much effort to unlock the door and pushed it back with his foot before half-carrying Kame inside. Jin placed the younger boy slowly down on the soft mattress.
There was a light frown creased across Kame’s forehead and Jin traced the frown with his index finger, sighing slightly at his own agony of having sheer yet unfathomable reasons of compassion towards the younger boy.
“What am I going to do with you?” The words left his lips on their own accord and too late for Jin to realize they were out before he could stop himself.
His breath was stuck in his throat in case the boy below him could hear what he just said and asked him what the hell he was talking about.
Kame only wiggled a bit and supposedly positioned himself more comfortable on the bed.
He exhaled relieved, thinking that the boy was already fast asleep.
Jin raised himself from the bed and turned to leave and he was almost out of the room until a voice called him to a halt.
“Don’t go,”
Kame was awake. His eyes were very much pleading and his body had turned to face Jin from the bed. His mouth was half-opened and his voice was hoarse like he had just spoken right after a long time crying silently.
The older man stood at the door, facing Kame with a puzzled expression. He wasn’t quite positive that he’d just heard a call coming from the boy and it was dubitable since Jin had plenty of times hearing Kame’s voices over and over again in his head and this time, the same thing could have happened.
“Don’t go, please,” Kame said again.
An undoubtedly flabbergasted otherwise composed Jin stepped back from where he was sitting right next to Kame on the bed.
He brushed Kame’s hair to the back, the frown on his face was more evident already.
“What’s wrong, Kazu-chan?” he asked softly.
Kame mumbled something coherent only to the bed and definitely not to Jin so the latter had to lean closer to make out the words.
“Please don’t leave me alone now. Please stay…” was what he heard.
As dumbfounded as he was at that moment, he couldn’t bring himself to do anything other than being stoned - both at Kame’s request and another shocking happening: Kame pulled Jin to lie next to him.
It was clear to the both of them that the younger boy himself had left no space for objection.
Jin unconsciously lifted his legs up from the uncomfortable half-laying position and onto the bed, sneaking them under the blanket.
Jin would have hated it if anyone stares at him but it was different with Kame and because the younger boy had such orbs that bores long onto Jin, rendering him naked with almost truths - Jin was usually a constant fibber - and Jin finds himself staring back, as if it was a challenge of a game of who could keep the longest stare between them.
“Please stay with me,” the younger boy said.
Jin thought if that wasn’t what he was doing right now then he had no idea what else. However as the four words continued to repeat in his mind after a few distant seconds hearing it, those four words he thought he could sense the deep meaning in them.
I hope you mean it another way, Kazuya.
Kame yawned to the roof of his room and closed his eyes.
He couldn’t smile. He didn’t know what kind of facial expression there should be on his face right now and he didn’t care for all he knew right now was that the boy Jin really likes was sleeping right next to him but being the pessimist he was he couldn’t bring himself to come out.
Jin likes Kame, he could see himself does. Kame’s song the younger boy sang earlier played in his mind.
The sky you see above won't always be blue
People won't always be kind to you
On stormy nights you'll be near tears
If only you could be there…
He was certain that Kame wouldn’t choose him.
-
“Please talk to me. Tell me what’s wrong.” Ueda begged.
Ryo had come to his place suddenly and with empty eyes and lifeless expression the man had only sat down on the couch, staring at the wall since two hours ago.
There wasn’t anything Ueda could do; Ryo just wouldn’t let out a sound. So Ueda tried hard enough and fell into slumber in his room, leaving Ryo alone to his own thoughts.
Ryo sighed and thumped his forehead with his fist. His thoughts were still playing the scenes when he and Kame were spending time together. He missed Kame. Now that Kame had really walked out of his life, he couldn’t bring himself to continue with the tangled affairs he had led.
He peeked from the crack of the door of Ueda’s bedroom and sees the latter sleeping soundly.
Pushing the door ajar, he sauntered across the room and knelt down on the floor next to Ueda. He watched the sleeping figure for awhile and placed a small kiss on the latter’s cheek.
“I’m sorry I have to do this,” he said when Ueda shot an eye open and then two to find Ryo sitting next to him with a terrible grimace.
“Do what?” Ueda sat up and touched the other’s cheek. It was sticky, Ryo had been crying.
“Tell me, please,”
Ryo lifted his arm and took Ueda’s which was touching his face and brought it to his lips to kiss the palm, all the while staring at Ueda.
“I have to call it quits.” Ryo said and dropped Ueda’s hand before standing up to leave.
“What? Ryo, no!” Ueda threw the blanket around him off to the side and hurried up as well. He ran to chase the back of Ryo who only continued walking and wrapped his arms around the latter.
“No, please, no! Please… I love you, I really do! Please don’t leave me!” Ueda sobbed on Ryo’s shoulder. Ryo had stopped dead in his tracks but he didn’t turn back.
Ryo slowly released the hands wrapped around his torso. “I’m sorry,”
Ueda was left wailing in his bedroom even after an hour the door of his house slammed shut.
-
Uchi shut his phone roughly, barely giving a shit about anything anymore after reading the text message sent to him.
“Fuck me,” He whispered to the stranger next to him and started straddling on top of the guy. The man’s eyes widened in astonishment but otherwise lust were only visible in the two black orbs, one covered slightly by his dark and curly fringe.
“Gladly.” The man said.
‘It’s over between us. I’m sorry.
-
The door of his house rang and he didn’t like it. He knew who it was in the middle of the night and he didn’t like it even more.
The impatient man outside his house was apparently either slamming or punching on his door bell from the intensity of the sound.
Grimacing as he did, he dragged his feet sleepily out to the door and opened it to reveal a face he’d seen as long ago as just yesterday.
“You again,” It wasn’t a question of utter shock, instead a comment of a painfully inevitable prediction.
“I love your bed,” Jin retorted as a reply and took off his shoes quickly before dashing for the guest room he’d used yesterday.
Shirota groaned and threw a glance at the ceiling. “Why me?”
-
Yamapi looked at his wristwatch; it was almost 7 a.m. and his manager hadn’t finished talking. He hated meetings like these. The people in the room would decide what they think would be best for him but stupidly they were completely otherwise.
All he wanted to do right now was to call Kame.
Is he still sleeping?
-
Ueda stopped crying long ago and he laid there unmoved on his bed, eyes boring at the ceiling.
Why? Where did I do wrong?
He closed his eyes for a long second and fresh tears ran down his temple. He glanced at his wallet on his bedside table and the photo underneath weighted by the wallet.
Taking the photo in his hand as he did yesterday, his memory went back to the time the photo was taken.
*Flashback
“Come around, boys. Let’s take a good group photo of the lots of you together.” Koki’s mother had said.
All four of them: Tanaka Koki, Yamashita Tomohisa, Ikuta Toma and Ueda Tatsuya himself ran and sneaked under the blanket in Koki’s bedroom.
“In here,” Koki had said.
The four boys giggled quietly and hid their beings under the blanket. The four mothers of the boys searched high and low until finally Ueda’s mother pointed the one visible foot from the blanket.
“Boys!” Toma’s mother shouted angrily.
“It’s okay, Hiromi. Let’s just snap the picture of them under the blanket like that.” Yamapi’s mother said, unbothered by the young boys’ behavior.
“Alright, ready… 1,2,3!” Koki’s mother clicked the capture button and took the photo of the four little boys smiling happily under the thick blanket.
*
More tears made their way across Ueda’s cheek.
I wish I could meet you guys right now…
But I can’t… I’m not the Tat-chan you used to know anymore. I’m a whore.
He stared at the photo and cried himself to sleep.
-
“You left again, didn’t you?” Shirota’s voice was the first thing he heard in the noon as soon as he cracked his eye open.
Rubbing his eyes and turning away from the taller of the two - Jin hated how Shirota would show off his amazing 188 centimetres during their basketball practice back in Los Angeles years ago - Jin groaned at the killer rays of the afternoon sunshine as he did.
“I hate your window, Yu.” Jin said.
“Get up, I made you some food.” Shirota said and walked out from the room.
When Jin had finished eating, Shirota wasted no time to dig the details of last night. He knew very well that his best friend had fallen hard for this Kamenashi Kazuya guy and being a friend he was, he wanted Jin to realize that falling in love wasn’t a scary thing and that it was completely normal.
“Go on,” Shirota said and Jin scoffed.
“As if I’m going to tell you.” Jin started flipping the channels.
“Fine, don’t tell me,” Shirota said simply.
A lengthy minute passed and Jin gave up. He knew the consequences in the long of pissing Shirota Yu off right now and he didn’t want to risk anything. Who knows maybe Shirota would snatch Kame from him if Jin doesn’t obey whatever Shirota wants right now?
“Yes, I left.” Jin started.
“Good boy. And?” Shirota snickered evilly.
Jin pushed a pillow at the taller guy. “Don’t snicker like an idiot. He was high on morphine the doctor gave him for his injured arm. He was drunk on the way I brought him home and then I was about to leave when I placed him on the bed and then…”
Why wasn’t this idiot interrupting?
Shirota looked at him. “Then what?”
Jin narrowed his eyes at his friend’s calm expression. “Why are you not interrupting me?”
Shirota laughed. “I want to hear more,”
Jin narrowed his eyes even more until he almost closed them so he dropped it and continued talking. “Then he told me to stay and not to leave him. That was what I intended to do, I mean, who could resist that cute face of his begging for me to stay and -“ Jin cleared his throat from being sidetracked by Kame’s pleading face in his mind, “so I stayed and laid down next to him. I waited until he fell asleep and left.”
Shirota hadn’t missed it when Jin’s voice went ultimately silent at the word ‘left’.
“Why did you leave then?” Shirota braved himself to ask.
Jin scowled at his friend but Shirota knew that scowl didn’t mean Jin was uneasy with the question; Jin was asking himself the same thing and Jin partly knew the answer.
“I’m not worthy of him.” He said gloomily.
“But he didn’t tell you that.” Shirota pointed wisely. “That was what you said for yourself. You didn’t want to accept the fact that he on the other hand might be yielding somehow the unequivocal feelings for you as you do for him.”
Jin was silent.
“You thought that being a playboy your limit of a relationship goes as far only to a one night stand. That’s not true.
“Jin, when a person falls in love, he as in your case is prone to thoughts like these. Thoughts or inner voice that tells you off being with someone so perfect when you yourself are imperfect down to the deepest pit of hell.
“A playboy is also a human. Humans have feelings they couldn’t keep for a long time and I don’t think I have to tell you that even playboys can change. When two people falls in love with each other, there is nothing from the past that should tear them apart. You should know that.”
“I don’t know that.” Jin said.
“You do now.” Shirota grinned.
“Ah, I’m going to be late. Put the key on the mailbox.” Shirota jumped into his shoes and grabbed his briefcase. “Take care going home,”
Jin waved and was left alone in the living room after that. He grinned to himself thinking of what Shirota had just said to him. “I don’t believe that idiot can actually say sappy things like that.”
He was glad he came here.
-
Kame hadn’t forgotten about last night when he gets ready for his shift and he had been thinking about it even if he tried hard to not to. He couldn’t help himself to steer his thoughts back to Jin when he’d been trying to distract himself by thinking of how exciting it was to have Yamapi’s number on his contacts and the fact that the superstar actually wanted to hang out with him.
It’s no use. Jin was keen on occupying his mind.
Since he woke up, his mind had immediately flown to his boss.
There was no class at all for today so he figured he would just stay the whole day at home and watches dramas from his collection of DVDs. From romance genres to action-packed even to humor, the characters from the television would by some means he couldn’t decipher become Jin.
The main man from Mission Impossible would ensemble Jin. The loverboy named Kanzaki Hiroto from the drama entitled Tatta Hitotsu no Koi would look like Jin. The smartass wise guy named Shochikubai Miroku from the Yukan Club drama would look like Jin. The young apprentice in an office named Kurosawa Akihiko from the Anego drama would look like Jin.
Kame sighed helplessly and succumbed to accept the fact that Jin’s face and everything about the older boy is prevailing in his little mind.
“Argh, dammit,” he winced when he swung his arm and it hit the door of his room. “Fuck,” he cursed when he felt his arm throbbing under the white bandage.
Kame went out to the kitchen and poured himself a cold sky juice to clear his mind.
It was pointless and he knew that. Sighing, he made his way to his workplace.
-
As Jin drove across the streets of Roppongi heading to his club, he stopped for the traffic light and stared around as he waited.
What came into his sight later was someone he would be expecting but not quite at the moment; Kame was strolling at the walking path but yet again as always the younger boy had a grim face.
Why are you always like that?
He wanted to call out to the younger boy and offered a ride but Kame had picked up his phone and as he spoke into it, his face turned outraged and then gradually accepting as his body started shaking fervently.
His anxiety of what could that phone call possibly be about was disrupted by the blaring honk from the car behind him.
Unwillingly tearing his eyes off the younger boy and supposing he’d know about it all too soon when Kame comes to work, Jin stepped on the pedal and drove furiously off to his club.
-
“Beer for me, please,” Ueda raised an index finger to the bartender.
Koyama passed a full yellow liquid with thick white layer over the mouth of the huge glass and widened his eyes comically when the customer grabbed the glass impatiently and downed the whole beer in one go without stopping even for air.
A trail of the liquid leaked from the corner of his lips.
Ueda panted and ordered, “Another,” before he dropped his head on the counter, sobbing quietly.
Jin walks into the bar and he took a seat next to Ueda and a little bothered at the state of the crying man woman next to him, he raised an eyebrow at Koyama.
His staff only shrugged and fixed Jin a glass of beer of Jin’s usual and another for the customer.
Ueda looked up and grabbed one of the two glasses on the counter without looking and downed the drink again.
“Belch, what is this?” Ueda made a face.
Oh, a guy. Jin thought.
“That was mine.” Jin said calmly.
Ueda frowned at Jin and then at the glass of beer untouched. He pushed the drink back to Jin and took the full on in his hands. “Sorry,”
Jin nodded and asked for Koyama to change a new glass for him. Ueda saw that and quickly added, “I’ll pay for your drink,”
The bar owner just chuckled and shook his head. “No, no it’s fine.”
Ueda fixed his gaze at Jin who looked occupied with his own thoughts and occasionally looked around as if waiting for someone to appear.
“Are you waiting for someone?” Ueda asked.
Jin smiled. “Yeah, he’ll probably come soon.”
Jin saw the copper haired boy which was Ueda nodded a few times and pushed an empty glass back to Koyama’s face. “Another,”
Ueda’s face was genuinely crestfallen when he stared at Jin. “I need to go to the toilet. Take care of these for me, please,” he took Jin’s warm hand to his own cold ones and placed his wallet and keys on Jin’s palm.
Sliding off the stool, he stumbled his way to the men’s room.
Jin dropped the wallet and keys on the counter table and he turned his head when he heard the door of his club pushed open.
Kame walks in with a sweet smile on his face, completely contradicting to what Jin had seen earlier. “Good evening, Kei-chan,”
“Kei-chan?” Jin was partly jealous that Kame hadn’t noticed him before his colleague.
“Kame-chan’s nickname for us,” Koyama smiled happily. “Evening to you too, Kame-chan,”
“Hello, Jin.” Kame said and his smile faded when he sees a familiar man walking towards them. Jin brushed off his jealousy when Kame stood in front of him as the younger boy greeted him and then he looked behind him when he saw Kame’s staggered expression.
Ueda wore the same shocked face when he saw Kame as well. “Kamenashi…”
“What are you doing here?” Kame sneered.
“I… Ryo broke up with me already so there’s no need to be like that,” Ueda said softly.
Kame was aghast at Ueda’s words. He thought now that he was over with Ryo, his ex-boyfriend would have continued his affair without worries. “I’m not being anything.” Kame said and made his way to the locker room to change.
Jin watched the two and he narrowed his eyes at Ueda’s guilty being. So this is one of the affairs…
The younger boy didn’t like what he sees as he came out from the locker room and to his station. He kept his eyes on Ueda and sometimes Jin as he didn’t like how the two sat next to each other.
“This is for you,” Kame beamed cutely as he shoved a glass of Bloody Mary in front of Jin a few minutes later.
Jin raised his eyebrows and his heartbeat rate skipped a few times when Kame’s face watched him expectantly as he gladly took the drink. “Thanks, Kazu.”
Kame glanced at Ueda and frowned at the presence of the latter who was still mourning deeply. Kame frowned at the close gap between Jin and Ueda and he didn’t like that one bit. They were inches too close.
Jin noticed Kame’s frown and realization dawned upon him. He moved his stool to the left a little, leaving a bigger gap between him and the stranger and he chuckled inwardly when he sees the frown on Kame’s face disappeared.
“How was it?” Kame asked.
Jin nodded and licked his lips. “Exquisite.”
So Kazuya was jealous…
He let out an amused chortle when the younger boy gleamed at his comment and went back to his work with a satisfied being.
I won’t hurt you like Ryo-chan did, Kazuya.
“Kame-chan, your phone is ringing inside your locker,” Shige said as he passed the counter.
“Ah it’s fine.” Kame said.
“But it has ringed a few times long already. It could be an urgent call, right?” Shige said again. Kame hesitated. He’s hands were full and absolutely unable to get his phone.
“I’ll go get it for you,” Jin offered and went for the locker room as Kame nodded gratefully with a motion to whisper the password of the lock on his locker to Jin’s ear.
He unlocked the lock with the password Kame had told him. The younger boy’s phone was vibrating violently on top of Kame’s extra pair of shirt.
He took the phone in his hand and looked at the caller ID: Pi <3
Jin’s cheerful mood went into the drain again. He went to stand next to Kame and flipped open the phone before putting it on Kame’s ear. “Kamenashi speaking,” Kame said.
Jin kept his eyes on the younger boy’s face as the latter spoke on the phone.
“Tomorrow night? Uh, I guess it’s not possible… Afternoon? Sure. Ah, please take care of me too.” Kame smiled and moved his ear from the phone, looking at Jin.
“Thanks,” Kame said.
Jin tried to smile back and asked casually, “What did he want?”
Kame shrugged a bit. “Hang out. At my place, tomorrow afternoon.”
Jin cursed his best friend in his head and went to put back Kame’s phone in the latter’s locker. He dialed a few numbers on his phone and spoke immediately when the other end picked up.
“I’m set for not coming to tomorrow’s lunch. I have something else to do. See you another day, mother.”
