I love these so much ;_; I was wondering would you be able to do my...I guess he would be an OC but he's a lot more than that to me =)

1. Name of character: Shasta (said like Shahs-ta)
2. If an OC, please provide a reference or two:
Here are some commissions others have done for me:

Caffwin did this for me and is so far the most accurate =)

Here's the DA link for a better look =)

Then other commissions:

3. What purpose do you want the figure to serve?
I was going through a rough time when I was 10 years old with friends, body image, tough and super strict parents, schoolwork, etc. I felt really lost and lonely at that time. Then I had a dream one night in which Shasta appeared. I don't know how or why but I felt comfort from Shasta. His image stuck with me, even after my dream which is unusual for me. Ever since Shasta sometimes appears in my dreams, especially when times are hard. It wasn't until later when I was in high school that I realized that Shasta was sort of my guardian angel; a constant support at all times. He is in my mind's eye a lot and provides a comfort both when I am awake and when I am asleep. Life is much better now, but Shasta is still there. It's been 10 years since he came to me and still he's a solid force in my life. He did not have the name Shasta when he first appeared to me, but it was a name that I had read in book at that time and it just seemed to fit for some reason. I didn't research the name until the end of my high school career to find out the meaning. 'Shasta' comes from the Indian word Tsasdi which means 'three.' I kind of got chills when I read that because I believe that God (I'm Catholic ^^;) sent Shasta to me. So, the three represents God, Shasta, and me and shows the connection we share. I know it sounds a little cliche but it makes perfect sense to me =) My career choice is to be an animal behaviorist, focusing on animal rehabilitation and conservation, and possibly working on wildlife photography and filmmaking. One of my top animals to work with is big cats and I think that Shasta has influenced that love. I find it fitting that God chose an animal as my Guardian angel. I have loved animals my whole life and the only thing I see in my future is working with them. I will be traveling a lot with my career, but I know that Shasta will be with me. When I saw these Jizo sculptures and the story behind them I immediately thought of Shasta. I was a lost child and Shasta came to save me.
4. Your email address: CMBailey@satx.rr.com

Let me know if you need any other pictures or information. Sorry for the long story ^^; I just have such a great passion for Shasta that I love sharing him with everyone. If Shasta is a little difficult at this time please don't feel like you are obligated to make a Jizo of him =) No pressure or problem whatsoever!

What a beautiful story! I'd be so honored to make a figure of Shasta, especially one as special as this. I'd be happy to start on him soon. Due to tiger stripes being as intricate and beautiful as they are, I have two ideas of how I might work this. I can make a full white body and add individual stripes which will be more accurate, but slightly raised. My other idea is to mix black clay into white on his body. This'll look cooler, mixed colors makes those strange stripes of color but not quite the precision of placing them individually. On his head I'll be placing the stripes on individually either way. Also you have a choice between two different types of wings. Let me know which you like more :3

Price would be $20.

Oh goodie!!! I'm so excited 8D
I love your little drawings of him! I really like the wing style 1 =3 Makes him look perky and attentive lol. Ah, the stripe problem, yes. I really do love both ideas. The mixing of the clay would be really unique and may make him look etheral. I'm never super picky as to where his stripes are. I don't know...what do you think? lol. And $20 sounds perfect to me!

I'd like to try the mixing since it's an effect I'd love to try out. If it comes out looking awful, then you have my word that I'll start over with the other method. I'll send you pictures when he's done. Also may I ask in advance if it's okay to show him off in my DA/FA gallery with credit to you as his creator of course? You have my word that I'd never show him without proper credit, but I understand if something is very personal to you and if you don't want him on display, then I respect your choice!
