And I return.

Ohio was nice, I got to see relatives that I didn't even know I had, as well as my 90 year old (great great, but we don't say that) Aunt Millie. I found out some fun stuff about my heritage and I guess I am more slovak than I originally thought. A bunch of the people spoke slovak, including my aunt (I have no idea what her actual relation to me is, but we call her aunt) Suzie, who only speaks heavily accented english. Fun.

The weather was cool, we had frequent and violent thunderstorms almost every day, and there was tornadoes and flashfloods all over the place. Luckily, none of those hit the area I was in very hard. However we did get some downed trees and power-outs. The river valley of the city I was staying in (Cuyahoga falls) flooded about 4ft above its normal level, and thus made the falls that the city is named after, a touch more violent. Again, fun.

Actually not so fun, because when coming to cleavland our plane had to detour one of the thunderstorms that would hit us 2 hours later. We were flying level with the top of the storm and wow was that ever alot of lightning. I actually couldn't sleep that night because a) my sister is afraid of storms (still!) and came to sleep in my bed (b) the lightning was like a never ending strobe light that can apparently penetrate my eyelids (c) holy crap it sounded as if each thunder strike was hitting the trees in the back yard.
Other than that though, I enjoy thunderstorms, especially since we don't get too many out here in Alberta

No one ever really cares to listen(/read) about another persons family vacation so I'll shut up now :)
I bid you all adieu.
