Thanks for being considerate...

Is usually plain ol' sarcasm. I had to leave a note on a asshole's windshield since he double parked in the municipal parking lot by my house, and it was the only spot left too. Bastard. The thing is that the spots don't have lines so it's not as though anyone would get a ticket sadly ( Read more... )

Lol, but no. It's not that I don't think think people can't have their cake and eat it too. But there are certain things we (Americans) put all over our food then wonder why people have goddamn diabetes and are horribly obese. High fructose corn syrup is the secondary ingrediant in a lot of things. i.e. ketchup, smuckers, fruit juices. And you can find it in EVERYTHING. Bread, cereal, yogurt, soda, crackers, bagels. Just keep the image of someone pouring syrup (the sugar equivalent of lard) over everything you eat. That's fucking scary.

What I love is there was this King of the Hill episode where one character gets diabetes. So the mother, Peggy, makes her son go on a diet. (Cuz he's a fat kid) She forces him to eat things like seaweed and wheatgrass drinks. Of course he's whining the whole way. By the end of the episode the son's friend gives him a chocolate bar. When the son tries to eat it, he can't. He exclaims, "It's too sweet!"

I think that's the only instance when I've seen popular media do something like that. And it is 100% true. When my brother and I lost weight. (Him over a 100 pds and me 50 pds) We found the things we normally liked so much to compulsively eat too SWEET. This means alot of things. Primarily that good taste isn't caused by an overload of sugar or syrup, but when you eat food high in sugar content all the time you become dependent on it. I found not only things too sweet but also that they really don't taste all that good. But sadly high fructose corn syrup isn't the only thing out there in our food.

Also. freaaaaakkkk. :p

I know, I've become a annoying label reader. There's only three brands of bread that are safe: Nature's Pride, Arnold, and Pepperidge farm.

Their coffee is ehhhh. With cereal I'm fairly happy with Honey Bunches of Oats. But I'm HAPPY when I can get hardcore plain ass cardboard like miniwheats no frosting.
