Ohgodohgodohgod...
Otakon update is imminent, but first I would like to inform you all that I am currently surrounded by warring Kitties =C_c=
Thursday morning, before leaving for Otakon, Jeff and I met Jesse, Emily and DJ's new kittens. When he came to pick me up Sunday night, I found him already inside, playing with the two that were left. They're keeping Destroyer of Worlds, but Little Boomer (named for Isadora's cat) was still looking for a home. I looked at Jeff and knew he wouldn't say no.
So last night I went to pick him up, and he's just the sweetest thing! He's very affectionate, fuzzy and his whole body vibrates when he purrs. He also has grey eyes, which I have never seen in a cat before, and looks so cute with his grey/black fur.
Freya is pissed, but she's not hiding, and she's not *completely* shying away from being petted. I think this is a good sign, but she also hasn't taken her eyes off the kitten since we brought him home, and is hissing and growling whenever he gets too close. In his favor, the kitten is giving it right back to her. His growls are so big for such a little thing, and he was the one who was pouncing and beating up on all his siblings, so I knew this was the one who would stand up to Freya if any kitten could.
We've decided to call him Loki, in keeping with the current naming scheme, and are keeping Boomer as his middle name. I had initially thought of Thor as being appropriate with his middle name, but it just didn't seem to fit, and Fenrir, because of his coloring and sheer size of his paws (he's gonna be BIG!) but Loki just stuck. There will be pictures up on his Catbook soonish. Freya also has a Catbook :D Feel free to add yourselves as friends!
And in closing, he's sitting on my shoulder, and purring into/licking my ear. I love this kitten!
