So, having thusly filled myself with cheese, I give you...
THE UPDATE!
*ugh...so much cheese*
I officially hate my goddamn job. I've posted for two other positions within the company, but I swear to god, if I don't get one of them, I'm walking. I'll probably be getting fired anyway, simply for not wanting to push products onto people. Selling used to be somewhat optional; yes there were numbers that you had to meet, but no one was really jumping down your throat if you didn't ask every single person if they had every single product we offer. As of late it's gotten to the point where there are people observing, and evaluating us on our sales, coaching us on how to goad the members more and more, and then telling our managers about it (who should be watching us themselves, and know in the first place...). It's gotten to the point where I have been written up for not selling enough. So I'm fairly certain, come July 1st (the cutoff date for people to be up to standard), I'll either be in another position, or no longer working for SEFCU. And when I leave, one of my coworkers is putting a note on my accounts; "PRODUCTS: Knows about it. Doesn't want it. Do not ask." Period.
Went out last night with Beth, Theresa and Amanda, to PFChangs. I went there once before with same, less Theresa, and it was good. It was also good last night, but I stand by my thinking that it's more expensive than it really should be. (more on that later) We had our lovely food and wine and...ok, I stand corrected about the banana spring rolls being more expensive than they should be...Amanda and I had simultaneous foodgasms over those. Hot banana + fried exterior = sexonastick. <3 Took our tipsy selves (ok, Theresa was completely sober, but I made up for that...) to B&N to meander through the books, grabbed a few each and took over a table for reading and general conversation. We wound up staying until around the store's closing, at which time, still slightly tipsy, Amanda and I found a cart out side. She told me to get in, and I found myself being pushed to the car in said shopping cart. <3<3<3 A wonderful time was had by all, and yes, we must do it again. Maybe the Cheesecake Factory next time, I'm actually interested in trying that, and it's probably the same price range.
Oh, but Beth did bring up something interesting, really only in one aspect..."But, don't tell Kat." =O_o= Earlier in the day, she had been to the farmer's market in Troy, and ran into Josh. He got to talking at her, as she desperately looked for an out, during which time he said the above, in reference to what he was telling her. I was quite literally floored, as I had previously been walking on the marble edging around the escalators. For one thing, if he doesn't want me to hear anything about him, he should avoid talking to my friends, not hover around them until they're done shopping so he can grab their attention. For another, why does he care if I know what kind of car he's gotten? It really doesn't effect either of us, whether or not I have that knowledge, or any other knowledge of him. It just struck me as absolutely bizarre that it would even cross his mind to say that, especially when I can honestly say that I just don't care anymore.
This afternoon, Jeff and I went to Colonie Center to get things and wound up getting food from Oyishi in the food court...and it was REALLY GOOD! =O_o= How many years have I been specifically avoiding that place, just to find out that it's awesome? We got some teriyaki chicken and an eel roll, and sat down to enjoy it. I mention that it was just as good as what I had last night, and mused that the food at fancy restaurants is so much more expensive not because it's that much better, but because alot of people need to buy the ambiance these places offer, since they can't make their own. I'm not saying that's what happened last night, by any means; we certainly had our very own ambiance going. Just that I was just as content sitting in the food court with my bubble tea, as I was at the tiny table amidst the ornate Asian-esque decor, and mood lighting.
We also made our way down to the little vintage/costume shop down by the Macy's and I bought a gorgeous silver feather brooch that I had seen the last time I wandered into the shop. I just kept thinking about it, and hoping that if I went back it would still be there. There was also a silver strawberry brooch that I just grabbed...THAT was the impulse purchase X3
And finally, I'm slowly but steadily working to fill these 1500GB (actually usable: 1,396) I have found myself in the possession of. I've completed Tsubasa Chronicle, as well as Kekkaishi, and am currently in the middle of ALL of Sailor Moon (yes, 1-200 in one file...almost as bad as when I got all of Ranma at a shot =x_x=), and season two of Lost.
Currently: 217/1396GB used ...I've got a long way to go...RECOMMEND ANIME!
