There you will get to shop on the second floor and be accosted by twin chibis (badgers no less) who follow you and appeal to you to buy stuff at Daddy Tom Nook's. If not for big-eyed and chubby chibis, then you have to visit Nookington to get your hair done at the hairdresser's.
