Holiday Valley!

Mike and I went up to Cleveland for Thanksgiving this year. We had a nice holiday at his Uncle's house, and then drove out to Ellicottville, NY Friday morning. The skiing Friday was really awesome. Well once I got back into the hang of it and got used to my new skis and stopped falling down, it was awesome. It was the first time I night skied, and it was snowing big giant fluffy flakes. It was really cool. I wish we'd gotten a picture.
Today the conditions were not ideal- it was too warm and the snow was generally either icey, cut up, or not there at all in some spots. Still definitely skiable, but not as nice as Friday. We decided not to go back out this evening since the ice will probably be even worse now that everything is refreezing.
I did pretty good- no blacks this time, but I did plenty of blues, one of which was really at the edge of my ability (and would have been a black diamond in OH, no doubt).
We had dinner and a bit of window shopping (I did buy some chocolates...) in the village tonight. Mike bought a jug of beer from a local brewer. A jug, yes. :)
We'll probably go out a bit tomorrow morning, but the checkout is really early so we want to be done by then probably, plus we have a 5 hour trip home.
It's been a really great weekend. :D
