So it cost a lot of money, but our plumbing works again. You really appreciate the simple concept of water draining properly when you are in a situation where it doesn't.
Now I'm doing what we've been putting off- more than one load of laundry per day, AND running the dishwasher! Egad!
On the downside, I had to clean the bathtub, which while it was backed up I was able to avoid.
