I am tired of people complaining about bipartisan political gridlock. The Democrats have 59 votes in the Senate, and about (not just of exact numbers) 257 votes in the House. The Republicans have 41 and about 178 respectively, meaning that they can might as well just not show up if the Democrats actually had their crap together. They effectively do not matter for the most part as a voting bloc.
(ADD moment: Why is it spelled bloc in that case and not block?)
