When I started working third shift, there was a part of me that thought that should I ever go back to a first shift job, that the change would be swift and painless. I mean, I am a first shift kind of person when you get down to it, as most humans are being diurnal creatures and all.
I am somewhat surprised to find out just how wrong I was in this assessment. Even when I am awake, I feel whooped. Part of this may be the sharp stop of caffine intake that I have put myself under once more. Don't act all that surprised. I manage to avoid the stuff the majority of the time, unless I am pulling the very rare late-nighter and pound an energy drink. And that happens less often now that Sheetz doesn't carry the stuff that I like.
But yeah. New job. 7am-3:30. 45 minute lunch. Nine bucks an hour with a review in 30 days. Well, 28 now. The only notable downside really is not much of one, and that's the 20 minute freeway drive to work.
