You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when were they working THERE? Since when were they dating HIM/HER? Since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy the topics below, erase my answers and put yours in their place, and then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration. One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out. (:
First Name.
Levana. One of my moms brothers named me but I'm not sure which one. Even though it's my name, I'm not sure how to pronounce it. No one in my family calls me by my English name and when they do they all say it differently. Even my brother and sister say my name differently. XD It comes from a greek goddess apparently, I think I got that from a baby book. *laughs*
Age.
15. Still to young to do anything, but I like 15. It's like.. the age where I dont' feel like a kid, but I don't feel old either. (Yes, old - I'm still in that mentality where anyone about 20 is considered old *laughs at sister*)
Location.
Currently I'm in Fukuoka, Japan as an exchange student for one year. If I weren't in Japan I'd be back at Vancouver, Canada, staying in the same house, on the same street, with the same people that I've been living with for the past 14 years of my life.
Occupation.
Full time student.
Partner.
Never had one and dont' plan on having one for a very long time.
Kids.
I can't.. stand kids. ^^;; I dont' know how to deal with them, I can't deal with them... I'm just so awkward with kids... I don't think I"m ever going to have them either. Sorry mother - no grandchildren from me - go talk to my brother xD
Brothers/sisters.
An older sister who's 20, lives in HK and is very independent and has lots of dreams, wishes and hopes and is incredibly smart.
An older brother who's 17, last year of High School and is your typical rebellious teenage boy, skateboards, plays guitar and listens to heavy metal while partying.. all the time. Neglects his studies on a daily basis - but he's smart as well.
Pets.
Never had one. Would kill for a shiba inu. T.T
List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1. Being in Japan for a year.
2. Being away from home/family/friends for a year
3. Arashi - Arashi - Arashi
Parents.
My mom is the most blah person ever while my dad is the total opposite. My mom, you can make fun of her, tease her, bully her and she will just sit there as if nothing happened, half the time she doesn't even realize what's going on. Your typical asian mom who lives in the living room watching Korean dramas. She's small and looks innocent but my mom is one of those ladies who can speak to you in the friendliest tone possible and scare the hell out of you. My dad on the other hand is very vocal, likes to yell, argue and always thinks he's right. He is very stubborn and likes to hold family parties. He's also quite frugal... unless... of course he walks into Futureshop (bestbuy) and sees the latest technological gadgets on sale. My parents are alright - I'm a lot closer to my mom than to my dad but they're parents.
Who are some of your closest friends?
Two of my elementary school friends. One of them is a girl, Korean and we get along so well. We don't necessarily like all of the same things but we often have the same thoughts/views on subjects and when we dont' it's interesting to see how each one of us differs. We didn't talk for a year cause she changed schools but even after that year we still get along as if nothing had happened.
Then there is a guy, persion, also elementary school. My friend since grade 1 and we barely like the same things except for video games yet we find so many things to talk about it's weird. We may not talk a lot during school but after school when I'm waiting for my mom we always find things to talk about despite... not really seeming like friends.
yeah.My elementary school friends are definitely closer than any of my high school friends.
and currently the friends I've made on this exchange program, despite only knowing them for 3 months I can already tell I'm going to keep in touch with these people for a long time.
and now, the last thing to end of this freakishly long post :)
