Today after class my brother wanted to pick up a used game from the GameStop four towns over because the one by us apparently didn’t have it in stock. He didn’t want to go alone because the town that had it is a kind of a bad area, so he if got shot he would want me to be shot with him - because that’s what siblings do.

We ended up driving in circles, finding the GameStop which was behind the SHADIEST DOLLAR STORE EVER and after we locked the doors and put on our bullet proof vests he realized he didn’t even bring his wallet with him.

So after threatening to leave him in the parking lot, we went back to the house, got his wallet and bought the new game for 5 bucks more - LIKE HE COULD HAVE FROM THE START.

Oh, I also brought my application to drop off as I waited for him. I talked to the manager who said they were going to start looking for Holiday Help come October and would give me a call.

The problem is - holiday help is usually temporary help. This kind of puts me in a pickle since I want to LEAVE Party City and I don’t want to leave my 8 and change job for a 7 and change temporary job.

I mean, who knows if they’ll call me back but he took one look at my resume and went, “Yeah, we’ll definitely going to call you.”

I still need to go to the mall to apply Disney which is 9 bucks an hour, but I rarely see them ever hire and if it’s another Holiday Temp situation I’m not sure if I can afford to leave Party City for a temporary position that MAY keep me.

This is especially an issue since my tuition bill for Spring semester is DUE in December and I only have a little over half of it saved.

I can’t help but wonder if should I stay with Party City and try to juggle school, a job I hate with a job I may not like? I tried that with the bookstore freshman year and all it did was cause me to have a meltdown breakdown.

Bahhh, okay whatever. I promised myself I’ll work on not getting ahead of myself and stressing myself out. I have at least until October to worry about this shit. I’ll just keep sending out my applications and see what happens.

Worse case scenario is I stay at Party City and try not to slit my wrists.
