Spoke to Mom twice on the phone. Still no electricity at her place, but she says she'll be fine. (*Edit* The electricity just came back on, so there's some good news at least.)
...She took a walk down to Columns Drive today and talked with some of the folks who lived in the condos right off the Chattahoochee. One woman told her that her car had been totaled when water had flooded their garage. Mom also learned that a neighbor's son had tried to drive out there in his SUV to get his dad and had drowned. A helicopter's been circling the area; they must be looking for his body.
...We need to count our blessings. I can't sum it up any simpler than that.
