9 Yuto looked in both directions and saw a small figure with the shoulders slumped. He squinted and ran over, his heart lifting in hopes that it was Chinen. He was confirmed when the boy started to kick a rock, same way Chinen usually did when he was frustrated.
He tried to be as quiet as possible. Knowing Chinen, the small boy would just run away if he knew that Yuto caught up to him. He held in his breath and quietly snuck behind. When he was finally at a reachable distance, Yuto reached out and pulled Chinen into his arms.
Chinen squealed in surprise and looked up. His eyes were mixed with confusion, sadness, and anger at the same time.
"Chii..." Yuto called out, seeing a vulnerable Chinen.
"Let me go..." Chinen demanded as he squirmed.
Yuto merely hugged Chinen tighter and rested his chin on the little boy's shoulders. The latter seemed to tense up as he did that. At least Chinen wasn't moving as much anymore. They stayed that way for a little while and Chinen finally relaxed, snuggling against him.
"Keito told me to go after you," Yuto murmured in Chinen's ear.
"Oka...tomo-kun?"
Yuto laughed softly. "No, it's Okamoto-kun."
"I see..." Chinen responded, nodding. "What did he... say?"
He thought back and an image of Keito's worried face came to mind. "He said that you didn't do anything wrong... and that he deserved it. What happened between you two anyways?"
Chinen shook his head and Yuto knew that he didn't want to talk about it.
"Well whatever it is, you shouldn't have pushed him. What if he got hurt?" Yuto continued on, wrapping his fingers around Chinen's wrist. "So when we go back, you'll apologize right?"
"I'll... apologize," Chinen finally agreed as he turned. Yuto finally got to see Chinen's smiling face. "I'm sorry, Yuto. For worrying you."
Yuto ruffled Chinen's hair affectionately and brushed away a strand of hair on the little boy's face. "Keito must be waiting so we should go now." He took Chinen's hand into his and lead him back. Chinen diligently followed and walked along side him, skipping a bit. He was glad Chinen was back to his old self.

When they reached the park, they found Keito nowhere in sight.
Yuto checked practically everywhere but Keito wasn't found. Something caught his eye. It was the table where he had set the ice cream down. The cups were empty and under them was a piece of napkin with neat writing on it.
Ate them all because they would've melt anyways. Sorry but had to go home. ~Keito
P.S. Please take care of Chinen-kun.
Chinen peered over his shoulder and didn't say anything.
Yuto pat Chinen's head and smiled at him. "Well I guess we both can enjoy ourselves then?"
And that's what exactly what they did. They both had tons of fun, running around, rolling down the hill, and more until their stomachs were hurting from giggling too much.
They laid on the grass, watching the clouds roll by and changing shapes every so often. Chinen was holding his hand and then pointed up at the sky. "Look! That looks like you, Yuto!"
Yuto turned to his side and pinched his cheeks slightly hard.
"I'm kidding!" Chinen burst out laughing and whacked the hand away.
Yuto grinned and rested his head on Chinen's arm. He was dozing off when Chinen spoke. "Okamoto-kun is... nice." Chinen turned his head to look at Yuto with a smile. Then he went back to look at the sky, deep in thought.
"I had lots of fun," Yuto said. He didn't really care if Chinen listened or not.Yuto just wanted to speak his mind. "Even if it's just the two of us. I guess... you got jealous?"
Chinen automatically pulled his arm away, face turning red.
Yuto's head was now on the grass. "I do admit, I've been spending way more time with Keito lately. I should spend more time with you and the others individually right? And maybe all of us?"
He didn't get an answer but Chinen simply shifted so that his head laid on his tummy. It was a positive action from Chinen so without words, Yuto understood that he approved.
"Say Yuto..."
"Hmm?" Yuto lowered his head to see Chinen staring at him.
"I want to tell you something... but I'm not ready yet. But when I am, I will," Chinen said slowly and carefully. "Though it might take a while. And sometimes I wished you weren't dense."
Yuto blinked in confusion but he could tell from Chinen's expression that he was serious. "Okay. Tell me whenever you're ready." He smiled and the latter did the same.

Yuto was diligently working on his homework when Keito placed his hand over his own. He looked up to see Keito's face so close, staring at him intensely. Yuto could feel his heart pounding and butterflies forming in his stomach.
"I really like you," Keito said English with a soft voice.
Yuto started to feel weird once more. "Oh yeah! That was an interesting story, don't you think? The teacher probably is in love so that's why he let us read it." He nodded when he suddenly noticed the close proximity of Keito's face to his. Yuto was a bit startled and just smiled. "What's wrong, Keit-"
All thoughts ceased as Keito leaned forward and pressed his lips against his.
That's when Yuto woke up, sitting up and breathing irregularly. "What a weird dream..." he mumbled out loud, scratching his head. He stared at his wall with droopy eyes, still half asleep. Yuto yawned and then reluctantly got out of bed to do his daily morning routine without thinking much of it.
Then Yuto bounced down the stairs but unfortunately at the last step, he stumbled a bit. An image of Keito kissing him flashed through his mind and he blinked. He could feel his cheeks warming up so he rubbed them up and down. Yuto wasn't even sure what he was feeling right now. It was similar when he was on a roller coaster going up slowly, the anticipation growing.
"Nii-chan? Your bread is all warmed up." His little brother's voice broke his thoughts and he smiled, seeing Raiya. He gobbled up his toast and drank his soy milk fast before grabbing his bag to head for school. "Nii-chan!"
Yuto turned to see his brother giggling. "What's so funny?"
"You have crumbs on the side of your mouth," Raiya told him, pointing to where it was.
Yuto smiled and wiped it away with the back of his hand. Mouth... why did that remind him of... that? He shook his head and breathed out slowly. Why did he keep thinking about what Keito did? No, Keito would never do that. Dreams are generally weird and bizarre was what he kept telling himself as he headed for school, feeling anxious for an unknown reason.
