Hikaru groaned as Keito struck the last black 8 cue ball into the nearest hole with precision.
"I guess... I won again?" Keito asked, with a small smile.
Hikaru frowned. "Will I ever be able to beat you?" he questioned, raising an eyebrow with slight frustration.
"Maybe... probably yeah," Keito answered, applying chalk to the tip of the cue stick. "Do you want me to let you win?"
"NO!" Hikaru exclaimed, going over to where Keito was standing. "I want to win through my own skills." He puffed up his chest and smacked his hand on the pool table. "I, Yaotome Hikaru, challenge you to a match." As he said that, he pointed to Keito.
Keito laughed, eyes full of amusement. "Alright, I accept."
"Loser has to deal with a batsu game and do anything the winner tells him to do, " Hikaru continued. "Maybe that'll inspire me to not lose."
Keito shifted his weight towards the stick, pressing his cheek against the wooden material. "Are you sure about this?"
"Bring it," Hikaru murmured with a serious face.
"Pfft." Keito waited as Hikaru took the balls out from under the table and used a rack to form a pyramid.
Hikaru took the pyramid away and felt his hands sweating a little bit. "I can do this," he muttered under his breath.
The game started as fast as the end when Keito had successfully shot the last of his solid red ball.
Hikaru still had two striped balls left and crossed his fingers, hoping that Keito wouldn't be able to score the last black ball. But he doubted that would happen.
He had to admit, Keito looked really cool when playing billiards especially with that concentrated look. It was cute. Hikaru paused and blinked at what he thought. Since when did he think Keito was cute?
"Umm... Hikaru?"
Hikaru turned his head towards Keito who was sitting on the edge of the table. "What?" He looked, expecting the ball to be gone from the green clothed table. "Oh..." And he was right. It was nowhere in sight and his shoulders slumped, disappointed.
"It's okay, Hikaru. Practice makes you better right?" Keito tilted his head to the side with a questioning look.
"I'll do better next time!" Hikaru felt pumped up with energy again. "Let's go for another round! But... what will be my punishment?"
"Mmm... I'll think of something. Let's keep playing," Keito suggested.
Hikaru nodded, grinning. "This is fun... playing billiards with you that is."
"Me too," Keito agreed, laughing softly.
Time went by fast as they played many rounds, talking and joking around. Finally, it was time to leave but Hikaru still wondered if Keito thought of something yet.
Keito tapped his shoulder.
Hikaru whirled around, with a bag slung behind his back.
"I thought of something... your punishment that is," Keito said slowly.
Hikaru had already mentally prepared for this whatever it was. Who knew what Keito had in mind? "O-okay..."
"Close your eyes," Keito murmured and Hikaru screwed his eyes shut, feeling wary of what was about to happen next. Butterflies fluttered in his stomach weirdly.
He flinched as he felt one of Keito's hands on his shoulder and the other on his cheek. Hikaru was about to protest that maybe he didn't want to go through with this when something soft pressed against his mouth lightly.
Hikaru fluttered his eyes open in surprise as Keito pulled away with a smile that almost looked like a smirk.
"I guess that was more of a reward than a punishment ne?" Keito asked, starting to walk away.
Hikaru just blinked, dazed a bit as to what happened. His mind wasn't functioning at all. When Keito was out of sight, he snapped out of it and called out, "Wait up, Keit-OW!" He crashed into the glass door and rubbed his head.
With one eye open, Hikaru saw Keito laughing and sticking out his tongue through the door. "I am so gonna beat you in billiards next time."
