Notes: Sorry for the lateness! I always check with Ani, one of my best buddies, to make sure everything was alright and went to her house and now I'm back. I'm also was writing other planned fanfics and ideas with help from Ani again so yeah... look forward to crack pairings. Well I don't think they're crack... O__O;;; I just have weird pairings. Grr! I need more ideas for my TakaChii and planning out stuff. XP Yeah I know nothing practically happened in this chapter... And sorry Aiko-chan but this ish the best I can do for a chapter. T__T Hope it's not too short and not too long. @.@

"So Chinen, what flavor do you want? And how many scoops?"
Chinen was dazing off in another world. He could still feel the warmth from them holding hands earlier and felt really happy.
Takaki tapped Chinen's shoulders lighty. "Chinen?"
"Eh? Nani? What happened?"
"All I asked was what flavor you wanted and how many scoops," Takaki said laughing. "You can be so weird sometimes."
"Ah! I'm sorry! I was just umm..." Chinen felt embarrassed.
"So what will it be?" Takaki asked.
"Umm... vanilla please? And make that two scoops!" Oh wait... aren't I supposed to pay for my own? Darn! I forgot to bring my own money, too!
It seemed as if Takaki read Chinen's mind when he suddenly said, "Don't worry Chinen. It's my treat." Takaki ordered two ice cream cones with two scoops: vanilla and chocolate. "Here you go, Chinen," Takaki said as he handed him the cone. "Let's go sit down on those benches."
"Hai!" He took the cone and they both began to walk to the benches. Along the way, Chinen accidentally tripped over a crack and his vanilla scoops fell to the ground, leaving him with only the cone.
"Ah! I'm so sorry, Takaki-kun... it was an accident... I tripped... and... that must have been a waste of money too..." Chinen said, with a quivering voice. He felt so guilty. I can't believe I just made a fool of myself. Takaki must not like me anymore... He felt tears swelling up.
"Are you alright? Did you hurt yourself when you tripped?" Takaki's face was filled with concern.
Chinen shook his head. "But the ice cream..." He didn't know how long he could hold back the tears.
Takaki sighed in relief. "Thank god, I don't know what I would've done if you were hurt..."
His tears magically faded away when he heard that comment. Eh? Takaki-kun was worried about me?
"Give me your cone, Chinen."
Chinen gave him the cone wondering why Takaki wanted it.
He tilted his own cone to transfer a scoop of his ice cream to Chinen's. "Here, it was like this whole tripping incident never happened," he said grinning while handing the cone back to Chinen. "Hope you don't mind it's chocolate instead of vanilla."
Chinen shook his head and said, "Arigato, Takaki-kun" with a bright smile.
Takaki smiled back and they both sat down on the bench for a few minutes, eating their ice cream in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, more like a peaceful and comfortable one.
"Hmm... it seems that it's getting a bit late so I'll walk you home alright?" Takaki stood up and extended his hand towards Chinen's free one. "This is so that if you trip, you won't fall and hurt yourself. I'll be here to save you," he said winking. Chinen blushed and took Takaki's hand thinking that he was the luckiest boy in the world.
