Lately Chinen had been feeling happier than usual. He always looked forward in seeing and hanging out with Takaki but he didn't know why... yet.
His heart skipped a beat when he saw Takaki walk into the dressing room.
"Hey Chinen," Takaki said with a grin.
"Hi Takaki-kun..." His heart slowly started to beat faster and his cheeks began to grow hot by the second.
"What's wrong?" Takaki had on a concerned face. He went over and placed his head against Chinen's forehead.
"It doesn't seem that you have a fever..."
"Nothing is wrong at all!" answered the little boy.
Why am I feeling embarrassed? What's wrong with me? It isn't like this is the first time Takaki has done that to me. Do I have some kind of weird sickness? An incurable disease??!! Maybe my heart pounding faster and my face getting warmer are part of its symptoms! I need to get an appointment with a psychiatrist and doctor fast and-
"Umm... Chinen? Are you sure you're alright?"
A voice interrupted his thoughts and he came back to reality.
"Nani? Oh, of course I am. What makes you think I'm not?" he said quickly.
"But if there's anything wrong, tell me right away okay?"
Takaki ruffled Chinen's hair gently. The younger boy nodded his head in response.
"Hmm... How about we have some ice cream later? What do you think?"
"Um... that would be nice..." Chinen replied shyly, looking at the ground. It felt weird looking at Takaki now for some reason.
"Then it's all set. It's a date! Well, we better go find the others. They must be waiting for us."
Chinen was speechless. He couldn't believe his ears.
Did he just say DATE??! This has to be a dream.
Chinen pinched himself to make sure it wasn't.
Yeah I know I fail! T___T Sorry for it being a bit too short! I'll write more in the next chapter!!!
