8th Want An alarm went off and Daiki grumbled, wanting to sleep some more. Of course, he had to go to school so he reluctantly turned it off. Lazily opening one eye, he saw a small patch of black fur below his chin. For some odd reason, he felt warmer than usual waking up in the morning. Wait... small patch of black fur? It's not like he had any pets. Wait...
The black fur, which was actually hair, shifted a little and snuggled up against him. Daiki froze as he started to become fully awake and comprehending the current situation.
A pair of arms wrapped themselves tighter around his waist as he could hear some mutterings.
Daiki was about to cry out of surprise and tell Ryutaro to get the hell off of him when the younger boy murmured in a small voice, "Mum... dad... pwease... no fighty..."
The older guy became less tense and sighed, stroking Ryutaro's hair. "I'm sure it'll be fine," Daiki tried assuring him.
That's when Ryutaro opened his eyes and looked up in a daze. Then they snapped wide open as Ryutaro yelped. He quickly moved away with a visible blush. "WHY ARE YOU SLEEPING WITH ME?!"
Daiki rolled his eyes. "For your information, you came to my room and my bed. I should be asking you that." He was slightly amused with his own calmness.
Before Ryutaro could reply, Daiki said, "Come on. We got to get ready for school."
Ryutaro peered at the time, pushing down his embarrassment. "But it's early!" he protested.
"Unfortunately, you're going to have to wear my school uniform and... borrow a lot of stuff..." Daiki muttered. "So inconvenient..."
"Sorry..." Ryutaro answered before jumping off the bed and going to the restroom.
Eventually both managed to get dressed, of course, after getting numerous complaints from Ryutaro and now they were at the dining table where his mom and dad saw the smaller boy for the first time.
The thing that irked Daiki was the fact that Ryutaro acted like such an angel in front of them.
"Daiki, who is this?" his mom asked with her brows raised up.
Daiki rubbed the back of his head. He forgot to tell them about Ryutaro staying over.
"Morimoto Ryutaro," Ryutaro answered, flashing a smile. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you, too," Daiki's mother replied while his dad nodded in acknowledgement.
"These omelettes are very delicious!" Ryutaro praised as Daiki's dad grinned.
"Thank you, my boy."
Meanwhile as Ryutaro chatted up with his parents, Daiki slumped down his seat. The extreme personality change got him irritated. Finally, his parents had to go to work so they left after they winked at Daiki, implying that he made a wise choice. Ryutaro wasn't even his boyfriend! Misunderstandings...
"Told you," Ryutaro smirked at Daiki. "I can be as polite and sweet as a little boy when I want to."
Daiki definitely had no comeback. As they continued to eat, he suddenly asked, "So you really don't remember?"
Ryutaro blinked and ignored his heart rate speeding up. "Why do you keep asking? What did I do?" he retorted with an irritated tone.
Daiki couldn't help but get more irritated unreasonably. He sighed and his eyes wandered to Ryutaro's mouth, which was nibbling a piece of toast.
Ryutaro flickered his eyes downward. Why was Dai-chan staring at him like that? He shoved the whole thing into his mouth and chewed. As he swallowed uncomfortably, he stayed there, not sure what to do. "What?"
"You seriously don't remember?" Daiki asked once again. He was even beginning to get annoyed at himself. He sounded so desperate for Ryutaro to know what happened.
"NO, DAMNIT!" Ryutaro yelled. "Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you!" As the last sentence slipped out of his mouth, he wished he could take it back. He totally gave himself away but hoped Daiki didn't catch it.
"Brat." Daiki didn't like how Ryutaro raised his voice at him like that but then the words that the younger boy said stuck in his mind. Even if I did...
Ryutaro stuck his tongue out, glad he somehow diverted the conversation.
"But... you said, 'even if I did...'" Daiki slowly repeated, watching Ryutaro's demeanor waver.
"S-so?" Ryutaro stuttered without meaning to.
Daiki rolled his eyes, his anger level rising. He figured out that Ryutaro did remember but was playing dumb. Why? "Why can't you remember?!"
"Remember what?" Why can't he just drop the convo?
"What happened yesterday!" He obviously remembers but why is he pretending not to?
"Why do you want me to remember so much?" Truthfully, Ryutaro hoped that there was a certain reason in Daiki pursuing this question so much.
"I don't know!"
That wasn't the answer he was expecting and he became irked. "Quit asking then!"
Something in Daiki snapped as he stood up and grabbed Ryutaro's collar across the table. "So you're saying that you don't remember this?" Daiki quickly bent forward, while yanking Ryutaro forward so that their mouths met firmly.
Ryutaro's eyes widen in shock as he felt Daiki's lips over his. He could feel himself being taken as he drew closer by instinct.
Finally, they broke apart and Ryutaro felt light-headed while Daiki came to his senses.
Ryutaro tried to hide his embarrassment and immediately cried out, "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He pushed Daiki away and covered his mouth with the back of his hand. Even though he said it that way, Ryutaro was happy as to what happened. Dai-chan... k-kissed me...
A wave of mixed confusion filled Daiki's mind. What the hell was he doing a moment ago? Why did he kiss Ryutaro when he obviously still had Yuto? And yet even now, all he could see and think logically about was the fact that Ryutaro had those red cheeks, making him so cute. Which made him want to kiss him. Again. "I..."

Chinen walked into the classroom early and was surprised to see Yuto there before him. Usually Yuto and Daiki walked to school together. Could something have happened?
"Hi, Chii!" Yuto exclaimed as his heart rate grew fast, seeing Chinen walk in. He looks cute with that scarf.
Chinen was surprised with Yuto's hyperness today. Because of what happened yesterday. "Hey... umm... so.... aren't you going to wait for Ari-chan?"
Yuto's heart sunk a bit. "Oh... he's probably with Morimoto-kun..."
The smaller boy mentally smacked himself for his forgetfulness. "Right..." Chinen trailed off awkwardly, not sure what to say to Yuto next.
"Thanks for yesterday," Yuto managed to blurt out since he couldn't take the silence between them.
Chinen gave a sheepish smile and shifted his weight to the other side. "I w-wouldn't... have done that with... anyone else." Chinen blushed in a small voice. He was surprised he was more open with his feelings for Yuto.
Yuto couldn't help but blush, too, with Chinen's straightforwardness. "Thank y-you, Chii..." he murmured, flashing an embarrassed grin.
That was when Ryutaro stormed in and threw his bag on his seat. He slid into his chair and put his head down, kicking the wooden leg.
Chinen grew worried. Did something happen between Ari-chan and Ryutaro?
Yuto wasn't sure how to even react to that. What happened?
Daiki eventually came into the classroom with unreadable eyes. As his eyes made contact with Yuto's, they quickly darted away.
Somehow the atmosphere had an invisible tension and Yuto and Chinen didn't like it one bit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yuto had tried to approach Daiki but the older boy continued to avoid him like the plague. But of course, Yuto persisted even if his heart clenched every time Daiki rejected him.
Chinen wanted to whack Daiki for ignoring Yuto in the first place but decided to get through to Ryutaro. He knew something happened between Ryutaro and Daiki. His instincts were usually right.
Ryutaro let himself be dragged to Chinen's so-called club and sat down on the stairs.
"What happened?" Chinen asked. As he attempted to put a hand on Ryutaro's shoulder, the latter smacked his hand away. "You know, I'm trying to help," he said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. He wasn't the most patient person except when he was with Yuto but that was different story.
"You're being a nuisance," Ryutaro muttered, letting his emotions take over. He knew Chinen was worried but still... it's not like he could control what he was feeling. Stupid Dai-chan... I really hate you...
Chinen was silent and leaned his head against the railing. "Yuto knows... about my feelings..."
"Oh... really?" Ryutaro sounded a bit more interested at this.
"Mm hmm... I didn't get rejected," Chinen added, thinking about Yuto's arms around him the day before. "But then I wasn't accepted either."
Ryutaro was surprised that Yuto didn't fully reject Chinen. He always though Chinen's love was one-sided and that Yuto was completely faithful to Daiki... Daiki... Just thinking about him made him depressed again.
Chinen let out a small laugh. "I'm not sure anymore..."
"Me either," Ryutaro finally answered after a bit of comfortable quietness.
"I..." He decided to tell Chinen since the shorter boy had the courage to tell him what happened. "...kissed Dai-chan when I was emotionally unstable." He glanced to see Chinen's expression but it didn't change, almost as if he knew.
"I didn't even remember until Dai-chan asked. I denied remembering though... because I knew he and Nakajima-kun were together... and yet... he kept asking and asking until... he..." Ryutaro bit his bottom lip, not wanting to go on.
Chinen turned his head as he got the hint. "Don't tell me he... kissed you..."
Ryutaro nodded and then ran his fingers through his hair out of frustration, sighing.
"There's more... isn't there?" There was definitely something missing in the story. If Yuto had did that to Chinen, he would definitely be happy and not think about guilt at the moment.
"I asked him why he did that and then he said... he said..." Ryutaro could feel his pent up emotions appearing. Tears watered his eyes until his vision became blurry. He could feel drops falling on his hand. "It was... a m-mistake."
