COME ON!!!
Hey, I haven't updated in a while ( been busy with tests and all sorts of other tasks) but you know, I do have one thing I have time to post!
**I hope everyone who is a registered voter went out and voted this election.** This is my first opportunity to vote, and I did as soon as I was able. I'm not trying to go all fanatic on anyone, but damn if you didn't vote or didn't take the time to register. Well...^_^; sorry that is awfully pathetic to me. :P
In any, case. I voted for Kerry all the way. Though Nader is good too, and I would prefer him in some issues, I know he won't win, so I can't afford to let my vote go unnoticed. Every vote counts guys! I was looking at the polls...>_< so far it's 51% Dubya favor. 48% Kerry, even though he got both California and NewYork! DAMN YOU TO HELL TEXAS AND YOUR 34 ELECTORAL VOTES! Kerry definitely needed Cali, though 55 votes *sigh* I was worried about that. I just wonder how Nevada came out. If we go Bush...Ima go nuts. Cause WTF Yucca Mountain?!
Unfortunately, my dad brought something to my attn concerning his dumb republican friend, whom I had a recent argument with about her vote. Her partisan proclamations fueled some weird anger inside me, and I had to prove my point. She CLEARLY had no notion of what stem ---Cell--- research means, and her views on abortion were horribly skewed. Having an equally ignorant army bf didn't help her already biased outlook either. This woman, thought if Kerry is elected ( and this is based solely on one sheet of paper she found on the street ) that he'll allow just about anyone i.e. crack whores to go out and have abortions to sell their dead fetuses for stem cell research. -_-;; Sorry but stem CELLs mean just that; not unborn babies in their fifth month of pregnancy. No, those are just dead babies. Unfortunate yes, but not terribly inhumane in my opinion should they be of necessity. Other than that she also claimed they have evidence of WMD's and that there are "...buildings out there in Iraq that glow in the dark! My bf saw them!"
Gee wilikers Christine. I'm sure glad your bf found the evidence! Now go tell the GOP so they can tell everyone else and notify the media of your findings. >_>; yeah......
In conclusion and out of my total frustration arguing with an ignorant person, I sighed and told my dad she didn't know what she was talking about. He replied, "So why argue with someone who doesn't know what they're even saying? They certainly won't understand you, if they can't understand themselves." *nods* It was good advice, and I quit feeling so exasperated.
But then...ugh I had this thought about the Bushies. Most people are ignorant, and if it goes to show that the ignorant and uniformed are the ones who are voting for Bush, simply due to the constant web of lies they're being fed....then we're all royally screwed. Cause as it goes, there are always a bigger proportion of idiots to smart people. *cough* TEXAS *cough*
I'm optomistic. BUT HELL! It will be HELLLLLLL if Bush wins. GO KERRY~EDWARDS!
