Final few hours here in Florida

How to begin...

Well I'm pretty tired right now, seeing as we went to bed at 4 AM this morning. Apparently it's Brazilian tradition to have a huge dinner at midnight or thereabouts then open presents after that. Juliana (my sister in law) says that it's not unusual for them to now go to bed until 6. If that wasn't enough, my mother got sick and woke me up at 9:30ish... I know, I know 5.5 hours isn't that bad, but add that to the fact that none of us have slept too much this entire week and it sucks... I'll either be sleeping on the plane, or sleep until 4 PM tomorrow.

From what I've seen, the Brazilian way is to eat tons and tons of food... and offset it by sleeping very very little.

In any case, I got some good loot this year. Not much, but what I did get was pretty great. Some highlights from birthday and Christmas included Die Hard 4, Pirates 3 (and the PC video game with it), a bra and panty set (from Ju's  mother... it'll never fit >.<) [edit: bless Brazilian ingenuity. This is now the most comfortable bra I own], a gorgeous leather purse (and that's saying a lot coming from me, since I don't use purses) from Brazil, a coconut purse from Busch Gardens, Chinese good luck charms and beads, a Hillary Clinton nutcracker (she cracks nuts with her thighs of steel :P), and,  my favorite, from her mother a set of soap, lotion, exfoliating body wash and some hand stuff from Brazil. It smells AMAZING!! Rachia, I already know you're going to love the smell of this soap :). Of course all this is in addition to any money I may have been sent by various family members (I'll know tomorrow).

Also, I have about 200 pictures (give or take). I'll print them all out and put them in these photo albums I found for cheap at Michaels.

Aaaaaaanyways, I'm gonna go pack and try to figure out how to fit all my souveniers in a second carry on bag without breaking them (including yours Rachia ^^). A few larger posts to follow in the days to come.

family, vacation, sleep? what's that?, travel, florida, christmas
