Not too bad! At 10:10pm I decided to just finish off this entry and then get on with some reading with Thelma. The Great Couch Happening of '69 is going exceptionally well; I'm on page 317 handwritten, which has translated to 589 pages typed, and altogether I've typed up 106,664 words. I think it's safe to assume that the whole novel is sitting at over 200k now.

I actually would like to carry on with the novel tonight but I think I should give myself a break so I don't burn myself out!

So, how has my day been apart from the writing? Awesome! I've been moving at 300mph cleaning rat cages all day but it was so worth it to see them all cleaned and to see the ratties exploring the new layouts and toys. I caught some fresh air while I was at it, doing the bigger cage and also installing a washing line so I could dry some things I'd hand-washed. But being out in the back has made me realise that we're in the height of summer now and we still haven't started fixing up the back garden. Maybe tomorrow I'll head to Wilkinson's and invest in a good pair of gardening gloves (as well as several bags of rat food) to pull up some of the weeds and make a start.

Jason and I have changed our plans for this week once again. On Tuesday he wants to go to the pub quiz at the Turks Head, so we'll be going there on the night and coming back on the last bus. On Friday, I'm going to have to put up with Dave. Meh. I don't know, maybe I should just let Jason have the day with him and maybe get the bus up a tad later? It would give me more time to pack, and more time with my rats, that's for sure.

Auntie Avril phoned today but thankfully she wasn't too much of a pest. She was trying to get rid of some couches and she's decided she isn't going to move to Wigan after all since the house she was gong to move into only had a yard, whereas she likes big gardens, which I guess I can understand. She only asked once about how Dad's job search was going and then left it at that, which was unusual. Maybe she's bored of trying to find him a job?

I also had a really weird dream last night - basically, we invited Saruman the White (from Lord of the Rings, in case you haven't read the books or seen the films) around for tea and Dad made sweet and sour with chips instead of rice. He was not amused, and then he found a tupperware tub full of food stashed beneath him, in the couch, and began to criticise me for stacking tupperware tubs horizontally. I argued that if I stacked them vertically they'd leak everywhere. And then I woke up. I actually started crying with laughter telling Jason about it before - before I'd even gotten to the dream itself!

Aaaand I think that's pretty much it for this entry. Tomorrow then, gardening, hammock, painting and more writing! But for now, time to read with my babygirl. :)
