“Lutz…?”, he heard his name being called - the current human name he chose to use, uttered to him with sleepy sweetness -, and he felt shifting at his side, as the man he shared the bed with sat up halfway, in the middle of one of the nights they had spent together in mortal bodies, on Earth.
“Yes…?”, he answered with another question, not bothering to open his eyes, but letting his hand slide up his lover’s back to let him know he was listening.
“Have you… ever been to a city that was just one big network of canals?”, Aaron wondered.
Of course he has been to Venice before. Countless times, in fact, since not only had the Italian town proved to be a perfect soul-buffet for him through the centuries, but he found its overall atmosphere intriguing for a reason, as well. Why else would he have remembered its name?
But he wanted to hear what the angel had to say about the place, so he chose to feign indifference.
“Hmm… I might have.”
“Some of my brothers in God were sent there before, and they were fascinated with it”, Aaron continued. “They were speaking of how it was a thriving haven of knowledge and love…”
“Oh, really.” Lutz showed only mild interest, but mostly sounded bored, as if he would have been rather asleep. Not to give himself away, as well as to tease the other.
Just a little.
“What else did they say…?”, he added after a second of thought. Aaron wouldn’t have woken him, a soul-sucking demon, up, just to tell him about knowledge and love…
“They told me…”, the brown haired man shifted again, and Lutz could make out his breathing against his chest; he was looking at him. “… that it looked like endless streets of stars…”
There we go, Lutz thought to himself, and he let a smile show on his face. That must have been the real reason why Aaron had brought up the subject. He opened his red eyes to gaze up into blue ones, which were darkened by the dim light in the room.
“Do you want to go there once?”, he asked, and unsurprisingly, his hand combing through soft hair was met with a shocked twitch; Aaron hated to admit whenever he wanted something. Nothing else to expect from an angel, even if he was banished from heaven…
Though after a while of silence and a few more strokes to the shy man’s scalp, he received a slow nod as an answer. Which he didn’t fail to reward with leaning up, and brushing his lips to the other temporarily-human’s cheek.

Moist strands of hair tickled against Lutz’s face, and a soft brush of warm lips met his forehead as his lover’s cooled body snuggled to his warm one underneath the covers. His human vessel noted that Aaron smelled of the fruity shampoo the hotel had in the bathroom. His demonic being deep inside, however, also picked up a different kind of scent wafting from the heavenly being: something sweet, alluring and delicious…
“You seem happy…”, he noted as he took Aaron into his arms, successfully startling the man with his movements and words. “Your soul smells nice…”
“Y-youre saying weird things again…”, he got as an answer, in a slightly frightened, but in a sort of reprimanding voice, which was soon muffled as Aaron leaned his head into the curve of his neck.
“Do you like it?”, Lutz changed the subject; or, rather, went to detail about it, a smug little grin spreading over his face. It had become a kind of sport for him: to amaze the other non-human with what Earth had to offer, good and bad included. But mostly the former - after all, beauty was what made the angel emit such a divine scent.
“Yes…”, Aaron sighed into his neck, before nuzzling to it. “It is beautiful. Thank you…”
In about one minute’s time, Lutz shifted under the quilt, only to lay the blue eyed man down on his back onto the mattress, slowly leaning over him, whispering to his ear:
“You can thank me with some… ‘breakfast’. You’re making me hungry…”
“Wha-!”, the gaping angel tried to make himself small, as if trying to melt and hide into the bedsheets. “Y-you’re just horny, n-not hungry, you p-p-pervert!”
Perfect reaction. Aaron was just so adorable when embarrassed…
“But that more or less means the same thing for me, my precious…”, Lutz chuckled, then laughed quietly from that little ‘oh-I-completely-forgot!’ gasp the man beneath him gave out. And then, as if it was the most natural thing to do, he started trailing kisses along the angel’s neck.
“B-but… I have j-just showered… And you’re ruining the… m-moment…”, Aaron’s weak protests came in small, hitching breaths, his skin nicely heating up again in the warmth of the covers, and from the burning of the incubus’s lips.
The nitpicky angel would change his mind about that statement soon enough…
