BREAK THE RECORD: BY YOU & FOR YOU (review)

o1. Don't You Ever Stop

It was smart to put this song as the starter of the whole album.  It's a catchy song and "Don't You Ever Stop listening to this album." is what i kind of thought when i heard this song in the beginning of the album.  It gives the listners hope and having the upbeat music to start off this great album.  Also, placing a song that everyone is familiar is important as well.

o2. Sadistic Love

"Knock Knock on the secert door." as the beginning of the song, its like "Welcome, enter the world of this album." Again, the second song has heavy guitar and catchy upbeat that makes this song easy to remember.  Koki's rap leaves an imprint of the song in everyones mind.  I also like how the song escalates into the chorus and also the bridge.

o3. Rescue

Not much to say about this song.  It's a great song overall.  Another rock song, 3 songs in a row rock.

o4. Water Dance

The piano in the start leaves a rippling factor into your mind, and intense of how the music will start off. It has soft voice sunged by the members. It also sounds quite mysterious because of the background music and also the voices.  For me, this song makes my body all 'weak' in a way by their addicting voices even Koki's rap is quite soft.  This song makes me sleepy, in a good way.

o5. One Drop

o6. White World

Nakamaru's solo, I like the music arrangement, the lyrics, the voice of nakamru's.  One thing that lacks in this song that really dissapoints me is Nakamaru lacks feelings in his song.  Is it because he is always so use to beatboxing?  I've realized this fault from Maru's solo for quite sometime.  It feels like he's just singing it, but does he connect his feelings to the song? I don't know, I'm not Maru, and it's just from my point of view everyone.  But i think overall this song is great, but I think he needs to step up his plate.  To make it MORE enjoyable for the listeners.

o7. Care

It's a song that I've craved listening to 2 or 3 years back and even now.  For a while, I have forgotten this song had exisited in my mind until this album was released again. It was like the song 'Care' was reborn again by Jin as he re-sang this with different arrangement and slight change of lyrics.  This song has matured and grown up with Jin for a long time.  The fact that he changed the song to "I know" and changing it back to "Care" gives everyone a sense of security and at ease when listening to this song.  I love the song, arrangement, lyrics, voice.  Perfect song for me.

o8. 1582

Well, the title of the song sure surprised me.  I guess a lot of the listeners were right.  "Ichigo Pantsu" Strawberry Pants is what the title really is.  It has really nice deep and meaningful lyrics.  Also, i can tell Kame had played with the sound effects a lot.  What really catches this song is that it has soft voices and also more loud and strong voices in the chorus that's reapeats it leaves a mark in the mind a lot.  The emotion is there, that what brings the song overall great and able to listen to.  I really like how the song is built all the way to the climax and i think Kame has protrayed that very well.  One of the best solo's out of the group.

o9. Pierrot

I actually like Koki's solo this time.  Last time it was just random yelling of  "I Eat You." Which later on reminded of BoA's "Eat you up." Gosh it was annoying.  The heavy guitar and rock is awesome in the start.  Koki, why did you not become a rocker? hahaha....
Great song, two thumbs up.

10. Hana no Mau Michi (花の舞う街)

For someone that was never a big fan of Ueda, I adore this song very much.  I think his voice really matches the song very well.  I don't think any other members can sing this song as well as Ueda.  He has the right voice for it.  It's soft, that's different from all others, its soft yet a little deep.  Also, his wide vocal ranges going really high, i don't think any members can sing like him.  Also, the music doesnt effect his singing.  A lot of the time, the music is really loud and covers the singers voice.  But Ueda's voice is clear throughout the song. Which i think is really great and only good singers can pull off.  I'm not tired of his voice at all. It's a song that can be put on repeat for a long time.

11. Wind

The piano in the start doesn't really match the rest of the song.  I thought it was going to be ballad, but it turned out to be really Jazzy feel to it.  Junno's voice is really 'intresting' i guess unqiue in a way.  I It gives the album a different twist by having a more Jazz song in it.  Not rock, or ballads, but Jazz.  Shows the maturity of this album is well developed. But, I'm still not use to listening Junno singing alone.  His voice is really high and has this really annoying effect to it.  It hurts my ears a bit when i listen to it.  I think he needs to practise how to use his voice more effectively.

12. Kimi Michi (君道)

I really like the song because of the guitar? Hahaha.  I really like the song, it gives everyone energy and its a happy song i think.  It gives me strength and a song that makes me smile whenever i listen to it.  I wish the voices were more clearer, like this, you can tell the music is louder than the voices.  Than it would make it feel more fresh for this song.  This song sounds childish and happy.  It makes me want to run towards the sun and have a positive view of life.

13. Shunkanshutou (春夏秋冬)

I've heard a song that had the same title by Alice Nine.  I was quite shocked by the different music style, lyrics, arrangement.  To compare the song? I perfered Alice Nine's 春夏秋冬.  It is one of my favorite song by Alice Nine.  But than when my favorite J-pop and favorite J-Rock had the same song title, i thought it was fate.  This song sounds slow and Alice Nine's song is fast and upbeat that brings a positive spin to it.  I really don't feel much listening to this song but i just enjoy listening to everyone's voices.

14. White X'mas

So, someone tell me, why must every song must have a rap?  I'm sure Koki can sing ballads just as well as he can rap.  At first i was really mad and outraged when i heard they changed the song.  I was listening to almost the end until 3:21 Koki's rap starts.  At first i couldn't get use to it, because i've listened to White X'mas so many time single verision.  Listening to this song got me more and more outraged.  I'm sure one song without Koki's rap wouldn't die.  But the end, i managed to love that part, and its also one of my favorite parts in the song. Koki has such a soft voice when he wants it to be. This song never fails to make me cry...

15. Neiro

Love the music.  Total ballad music.  I think it was wise to let Jin sing first, his voice is really really soft and gives safety when hearing his voice like care.  This song makes me cry too, it feels like a song of goodbye.  It makes me really relax when i listen to this song.  I forget all my troubles when i listen to this song, their voice is the only thing i can hear.  I think it's a song that everyone can listen to whenever their down.  It gives a small reassurance smile by  the end of the song.  I can't help but to smile at the end of the song.

16. Moon

It sounds very traditional the beginning with the traditional instrument being played.  It ends the album with another heavy rock song.  I love this song, it's a very addicting song, i really love the music in the beginning.  The beginning of the song was all rock and than soft ballads all the way to make it drop the to the end, just when everyone is listening to this album as their lullaby about to fall asleep listening to the previous song Neiro, this song Moon wakes them up again and screams, 'listen to the album again.' I just can't fall asleep when i listen to Moon, im so into this song.  I. Love. This. Song.

Overall, this album is well constructed with a variety of different genre in this album.  I've enjoyed this album more than the previous album.  Although the previous album had a theme towards their concert.  There were lots of songs i've enjoyed in QoP and songs i really hate and dispised.  However, to have a album that makes me like ALL the songs, it's very rare because i have high expectations in music, and more in my favorite sings, KAT-TUN.  I think they pulled this album off really well.  SHowing their playful, happy, cheerful side, yet also having the dark, sadistic, a little cynical side to it.

There were lots of songs, i don't remember how it goes afterwards when i stop listening to the album.  THere were lots of the songs that i really enjoyed and song were just "medium" it didn't leave a WOW factor for me.

I think overall KAT-TUN has really matured in their music.
