Went without water on in the house this morning so I had to forgo a hair washing. I won't go into all the gross no water the reasons why I had a stock pot of water in my bathroom details. I felt a little guilty for skipping out on mom around two this afternoon but I had to get out of the house. I went off to the local Toys R Us and the craft store and I still haven't found the perfect little companion for my photo project. The hedgehog is cute and all, but I want something floppy with a personality that I can pose in many ways. I was feeling guilty for skipping out on mom and at about a quarter to four I told myself to fudge it all and went to a movie. I got myself to see the new National Treasure movie. I can see where Jerry Bruckheimer and Disney are turning Nicolas Cage into the next Indiana Jones with these movies. If they do another one, I wonder where in America they're going to put the next super huge treasure that he just has to find. I will say that John Voight and Helen Mirren work quite well together. It was nice seeing her in a role that isn't a refined queen. I could see them doing another movie together. Ed Harris was a nice surprise as an antagonist that wasn't the typical nasty from start to end bad guy. I like it when the antagonist comes to reconcile with the protagonist in the end making up for all the underhanded things he's done throughout the film. I'd definitely see that film again.
When I called home before picking up some dinner I found out from mom that a plumber had been out to the house and fixed the issue we'd been having. Mom showed me what he had to do in order to fix things. The pipe that had gone to our old dishwasher needed to be capped off not once but twice. We've also come to learn that the shutoff valve for the water line to the dishwasher is bad and while it feels as though it's done its job it really hasn't. This means when the plumber goes to install the new dishwasher he's going to have to replace that valve. I guess for all the trouble we've been having finding out these things is a blessing in disguise. I just hope nothing else goes wrong during this remodeling session. At least tomorrow I can get back to my routine of going to the gym to see my trainer. Hopefully, I'll be able to use four out of the five sessions I'm going to be paying for before I head off to Florida. We'll have a better idea of how long things will take tomorrow. That's the day they said our cabinets will be coming. Those things are going to have to be stored in the garage. At least there's no snow on the ground anymore because I have to keep my car outside until they finish installing the cabinets.
I couldn't believe that at six in the evening it was sixty degrees outside. At least that's what my car's thermometer told me.
