Today being an off day from exercise, mom and I went on a bit of a quest for things. I finally got the new camera case I had been needing for some time and picked up another card for my camera in the process. I had hoped the two places we looked at camera-wise would have the Gorillapod I want to get but they didn't. I'm going to have to add more to the credit account and order one direct from the site. It has to be a certain size so my camera won't fall over because it's too heavy for it. The knockoff doesn't quite have the larger size I need for the job I'm going to be putting it through. The only thing I didn't get was a new filter for my old 35mm lens so I'm going to have to hit up the Best Buy to get that this week.
After the trip to the camera store mom and I then went over to Nordstrom's to look for some shoes for to go with the dress I have to wear for the wedding. We had no luck there because the shoes the sales associate showed us were a bit big and didn't fit right. I don't think the guy really understood what it was we were looking for because he kept bringing out shoes that weren't the right color or the right heel height. I don't want to spend several hours on my feet in three inch heels thank you very much. So we left Nordstrom's and decided that the reorder on some shoes my mom thought would be good for the wedding would be a good start for now. I swear some men just don't get it when a woman says she'll be on her feet for several hours that it means no ultra thin super high heels.
It was at that point we decided that lunch was in order and after we ate we spent time at a few of our favorite shops looking for things my mom could take on her upcoming trip next month. It then turned into "this would look good on your sister" and "she could benifit from this" shopping. So in the end we picked up an outfit or two for my sister, a stress reducing gadget for that same sister of mine, some sort of pitcher that will keep our OJ fresher longer, and an outfit for my niece whose birthday is in a week. All things considered, it was a decent haul even if we didn't get the shoes we originally went there for.
