So, wow, yeah. Life. It's cool.
I'm graduated! I'm the proud holder of a degree in Science, Technology, and Culture from Georgia Tech. I'm done with school for the immediate future, and that feels fucking amazing. To those of you who are still in college, or even high school, I assure you that it does end, eventually.
I'm getting my job at Gametap back. I called up my bosses after three months had passed, and they hired me back. I start tomorrow at the new Northyards building.
The biggest news, however, is the following. I applied for AEON and got an invitation for an interview! I'm now nervous whenever I think about it, but I think I'll do okay. There are several things I need to do to prepare for it, but I've got enought time to do them.
Things are going good in my corner of the world. I'm staffing AWA, which I've missed. I've missed a lot of you and a lot of the things I did with you all. School ate a lot of my time, but that's over now. Staffing AWA is like....going back in time, almost. It's weird, but cool. I went to the last staff meeting and I got to see all of my old friends. I can't wait for the con itself.
Dragon*Con is soon, too. I don't think I'll attend all the days, maybe just Saturday. Maybe Sunday, too. I've got a friend coming in from out of town, and she wants to hang out with me during the Con, which is cool, but I'm not sure if I'll have the finances to do a giant, mega blow-out con thing this year. I tend to see everything I want to in a day or two, so doing the whole 4 days has always felt like a waste, anyway.
I don't have a room for AWA, and I'd like to get one, if possible. Ray, I know you and I had plotted a bit about that. Did you find anything out? If you'd rather plot in private, my email is nigelo@gmail.com
