back in richmond

back to life as normal, i guess. i got back sometime on wednesday, sleep deprived and hungover -- lounged around the house and comfortably settled back into residence on the couch. we went to rio grande for dinner and i pigged out majorly seeing as i would never have to willingly eat dining hall food again. thank heaven.

thursday i woke up feeling even nastier than the day before and was like 'no way i can have a two day hangover' so i shrugged it off and visited govs with stavros. i missed him! i love that boy so much, he keeps me infinitely entertained, and i'm super happy i got to see him. so i talked to schreiber for like an hour or two, and then touched in with bear, mckay, and all the rest. stav headed off to montana to see people, and cori and i took out early to head to starbucks for coffee-- man, that chick has stories to tell! she's so chill to just hang and talk to, i'm sad she won't be at uva next year, but i guess tech is a better fit. and i def need to take up her offer to visit her on the river . . .

i then proceeded to invite myself to audrey's dinner thing and that was lovely like always. i can't believe 'drey is going to be in colorado until aug 20! no breaks or anything! caifling and i are terribly sad and depressed over the whole situation.

i saw rolfe, 'drey, stav, scottling, clay and liz on friday. we rivered at 42 and the water wasn't as cold as i thought it would be. . . thus prompting the lovely idea of us ladies to go swimming while none of us had planned to and thus didn't bring suits. well, after some failed rock hops on my part, and some serious wading across 'shallow' areas on their parts, we were wet enough that we decided 'what the hell' and went swimming in our . . . undergarments ::blush:: overall not a smart idea because i then spent saturday, sunday, and monday in viral agony on the couch.

[boring brief interlude] saturday: trained at banana in c-ville. sounds like job is kinda strict and pretty boring. maybe it will get better. [/brief boring interlude]

... so monday i traipsed over to the doctor and got the 'there is nothing we can do for you' speech they often give me. but they are running tests on mono too just to be sure (there are so many instances this year when i could have gotten it and so many times i've been sick, it just seems like a smart thing to do). So i wandered on home and laid on the couch and did absolutely nothing. cabby stopped by and distracted me for a while, which was nice.

which brings me to today, tuesday. i took daddy to the doctor and waited for him because he had to have one of those painful exams where they knock you out and look places.... yea, enough about that. so i was sitting in a doctors office for the second time in two days, and i really hate those places. so sterile and gah... so ick. and tomorrow i have to visit another one. great. and this time for myself, a trip to the 'most super happy fun doctor ever' but seriously, to the most horrible, painful doctor a girl has to visit. fun shit.

i miss y'all in c-ville and those that have been major bums in richmond and haven't called me.

take care
- jo
