Yuletide Fandom Letter
Dear Yuletide Writer,
First off, I want to thank you for offering your time for the yuletide experience. Whether like me this is your first time or if you’re an old pro I can’t tell you how grateful I am to you for giving up part of your holiday season to give someone the gift of the fic of their dreams.

Overall Fandom Info: As I mentioned in a number of my requests, bestiality is a major squick for me, otherwise I’m pretty open to anything. I don’t mind deathfics, hard core kinks, incest, blood, gore, or explicit sex scenes. The one thing I absolutely can’t stand is blatant stupidity, so please avoid the abuse of airheads in any fic you write for me.
I love xovers, rare pairings, threesomes, and complicated plots. I am a voracious reader and will read almost anything but I would love if the humor was on the dry side and if there is at least a small amount of character development. I particularly like stories that take an unexpected but well define and supported twist.
Chronicles of Riddick series
Lord Vaako/Richard B Riddick
I would prefer gen or slash taking place after the Chronicles of Riddick movie. I will read almost anything though bestiality squicks me so please keep it to a minimum if you would like to include it. I read everything from fluff to angst and love the unexpected so feel free to go as crazy as you like.
I absolutely love Riddick’s character in all his badass murderous glory and would love if you could showcase that. It would be great if you could have him take control of Vaako away from Dame Vaako though having them try and kill each other would be fun to. I’d prefer if the fic didn’t have a blatantly “Happily Ever After” ending as I just can’t imagine an ending like that for characters that are living as members of a planet killing society.
Watchmen (comic)
Adrian Veidt aka Ozymandias/Daniel Dreiberg aka Nite Owl II/Jonathan Osterman aka Dr Manhattan/Walter Kovacs aka Rorschach
I would prefer gen or slash taking place before the Keene act, during the comic, or after the comic. I have a real soft spot for Adrian/Manhattan, Adrian/Dan, and Dan/Walter but love unusual pairings so any combination of those four is fine.Au's are welcome as are Canon. I don't mind death fics, descriptions of violence and gore, or explicit sex. I will read almost anything though bestiality squicks me so please keep it to a minimum if you would like to include it.
I can really sympathize with Dan as the only truly normal member of the Watchmen. He’s the only one who seems to have chosen to be a Watchmen for inglorious reasons. He tries to convince himself that he’s fighting to create a better world but you can really see that he’s lost hope in the dreams that once led him to become a hero and is stuck drifting through life without a purpose or even close friends.
Adrian has come to a similar realization but he’s not willing to let himself drift like Dan. Instead he decides to break all the rules and make the world change according to his will sure of his own ability to control the world.
Dr. Manhattan can control the whole world but he’s so busy trying to be normal that he becomes a tool instead. His struggle to become his own person and see past humanities’ definition of right and wrong is touching. As is his struggle to love those that surround him despite knowing that they’re going to leave him.
On the other side of the equation from Dr. Manhattan is Walter. Walter judges the world by extremes. Everything is black and white and anyone who believes in gray is as sinful as someone who lives in black. To him everyone can and will leave but if they do they are no longer worthy of his regard.
I would love a piece that displayed the differences in the various characters’ personalities and how their personalities affect their actions, either personally or socially.
Legion of Superheroes (tv)
Brainiac 5/Superman
I would prefer slash or gen taking place during or after the show. AU's or Canon is welcome as are crossovers with JLA,Batman,Static Shock, Smallville, or Teen Titans. I would love a threesome with Superman2 if you feel like it. I'd prefer if the fic didn't have Brainy or Clark dying but if you are inspired to write a deathfic please keep it from being too explicit. I will read almost anything though bestiality squicks me so please keep it to a minimum if you would like to include it.
I’m very much a Brainiac 5 fangirl. I find him cute and sugary and angsty. He’s willing to sacrifice everything that makes him who his is in order to prove how different he is from his ancestor and gain Clark’s respect even though he knows that Clark can’t know who he’s related to.
Clark on the other hand is very much a product of his time. He is a boyscout stranded in a universe where the boyscouts have not existed for more than a thousand years. He cares for Brainy but can’t seem to understand that Brainy has reasons for keeping his secrets and always seems a little jealous of Brainy’s obsession with Superman.
I would love a piece that dealt with the white elephant of Superman. Particularly how both Brainy and Clark’s obsession with the eventuality of Clark becoming Superman and facing the original Brainiac affects Brainy and Clark’s relationship.
Daredevil (movie)
Ben Urich/Matt Murdock
Would prefer gen or slash taking place after movie but before Elektra. If gen please keep any references to Matt/Elektra vague. I would love to see Ben being a not so damsel in distress but a fluffy slice of life piece would be lovely as well.
I absolutely love Urich’s snark. He is summarily unimpressed by Matt’s boyscouting lawyer persona and his superhero persona. I would love a piece that showcased the snarky relationship between Ben and Matt either in a Reporter/Superhero way or in a Boyfriend way. (Is it a bad thing that I keep imagining the two of them in the traditional Superman/Lois situation?)
