Death comes sweeping down the hallway / like a lady's dress

So I've decided to try and re-watch at least until the end of Season 4 before S6 starts up. Maybe I'll get through part of S5; who knows? But anyway, after I finish S1 (which should be tonight), I'll have 50 episodes to get me to the end of S4. Can I do it? Maybe not. But I'm mostly concerned with finishing S3, anyway, because S2 ends really nicely but S3 has a lot of my favourite episodes in it. And if I get to S5, it'll have to be all online, so. We'll see.

It really helped that I got a jump-start on S1 with my brother earlier this summer, let me tell you. I skipped all the episodes I've seen more than once already.

-I mention this in the Tart Notes that'll be up on Monday, but, in watching "Bugs" with Graeme when he was here, I noticed that the music cue at the end is from No One Like You by Scorpions. That makes me unreasonably happy.

-in a similar vein, "Hell House," where the revelation hinges on the Blue Öyster Cult logo, starts off with Fire of Unknown Origin and then goes straight into Burnin' For You, which crops up again at the end of the episode. Pretty slick. The things I notice, now that I'm familiar with all the music! :P

-In yet another similar vein, "Provenance" uses Bad Time To Be In Love, except when Dean turns it on as a hint to Sam and Sarah, it's at the part right before the title lyrics, the part about "I'm in love with a girl I can't live without" and it stops before "I musta picked a bad time to be in love," which is kind of hilarious. Because he totally did. Poor Sammy.

-Also in "Provenance," one of the swank cars at the beginning has a front plate that reads "THE KRIP." I'm probably the very last fan to notice that, but whatever.

-Little Sammy in "Something Wicked" actually calls them Sghabettios. I totally forgot, and then went and wrote fic. I'mma go ahead and say that my fic happens before Sammy gets sick of 'em.

-Luther in "Dean Man's Blood" has the stupidest tattoo I've ever seen. It's katakana and it's not even a word. Kinda hilarious, actually. It's ne little-yo ra little-yo te. It must have been put together for aesthetic purposes only, because it's completely unpronounceable.

That's all I've got for now. I may continue to post similar observations as I continue.

Oh, also, I'm posting from the family computer since Shin is seeing a computer doctor. Brittany at the Esplanade who works the info desk and also the box office has a boyfriend and also a housemate who are both Mac-certified and work tech support for the College, so one of them's having a look at it; she picked it up on her way home from work today. I think the power socket just needs a solder. I hope that's all it is, anyway. He should be able to get to it this weekend, Brittany thinks. She's working the desk all weekend and I'm in the box office, so she'll bring it in when it's done. I shall be glad to have that dealt with.

I called London Drugs about it, actually, because their techs are also Mac-certified and they're the only Apple outlet in town, but they don't solder parts. Too risky, the guy said? Anyway, that was a bust, so that's why I called Brittany. Hopefully there are no unforeseen complications. I wants my baby back.

music, spn
