needs updating

Why can't I have more IRL lady friends that don't turn out to be crazy? Is that really so much to ask?

Drew! I have sworn up, down, and sideways that I am definitely going to call you today. I will make sure my phone is charged beforehand, as we have some major catching up to do.

In happier news, three things are worth noting:
1.) I bought this nail polish last week, and I am in love with it. I made the (stupid, stupid!) mistake of getting a set of gels about three weeks ago, and they look halfway grown out and horrible now. I'm trying to resist the urge to pop the little bastards off, so I've taken to keeping them neatly filed and painted, since they should be completely gone in another 2-3 weeks. For some reason, my fingernails grow freakishly fast. I'm in love with the color though. I wish I would've had it for my wedding. Tiffany blue toes would've been a lot cuter "something blue" than what I actually had (blue undies with hearts and dinosaurs on them-- A little bit more me, but a lot more confusing to explain to people that don't know me very well).

2.) Dustin and I made the best dinner evarrrrr last night. It's no secret that I am head over heels in love with Mongolian BBQ. It just gets expensive if you only go in for one bowl of the stuff (It's all you can eat, so the fixed price makes it worthwhile if you have at least two bowls). So we decided to make our own last night! We chopped up bell peppers, mushrooms, water chestnuts, carrots, bean sprouts, onions, broccoli, garlic, green onions, peas, and tofu, cooked up some noodles, and threw them all together in a skillet with a bunch of garlic-teriyaki-wonderful sauce. It was amaaaaaazing, and it wound up being about half the price of going out. Plus, we've got enough leftovers to have for lunch today!

3.) We came up on TONS of free furniture yesterday. I guess one of Dustin's Nana's friends was getting rid of some of her father's furniture because she didn't have space for it anymore, so we volunteered to pilfer through some of it. We wound up with a coffee table, a dining table, an end table, a couch-bed, some vintage JBL speakers (THAT SOUND INCREDIBLE- WHY WOULD YOU GIVE THESE UP!?) and an ENORMOUS chest of drawers. The couch-bed is on the newer side, and just needs a slipcover. The rest of the furniture is very... 60's/70's at best, which means it's solid wood, but it's also badly in need of some updating. Luckily, Dustin is the Champion of All Things Home Improvement Related (must be from working at Home Depot for 3 years?), and he said that we could easily sand, re-stain, and add new hardware to it. So if the weather is this awesome next weekend, we'll most likely do it then.

noms, meatless march
