A fun, quietly random night
Alas! Last night turned out to be quite fun, if I do say so myself!
It was Kirsty's birthday, and the original plan was to go to Lava and boogie. However, due to (a) My hatred of Lava, and (b) The fact that everyone was being I.D.'d on the door, we ended up not going. I'm quite glad, because as much as I love the people I was going with, and also the people who I would have undoubtedly met in there, I despise Lava. I've explained to so many people, that, although they may love it, for me, well, it's a fiver to get in, a quid for the cloakroom, uber uber expensive drink, and then a taxi home. Alas - I could sit in the pub with friends, and have so much more fun!
Was in the Jimmy with Carly for a bit, and met John, Ryan, random guy from school, Katy, Shona, Megan, Emma C, Craig, the triplets, and several more people. Was a laugh catching up with them, cos I haven't spoken to them in ages!
I even met Emma Dunlop, who I haven't seen since I was about ten, and her cousin, Laura. What lovely, lovely people. I hope I meet them again someday - they made my trip to the bathroom very amusing!
About 11.15ish, we headed to Funk, but ended up meeting Pete/Kirsty/Cari/Suzy/Jack on the way. They told us they'd been I.D.'d, so we ended up heading back to the Jimmy with them. The doors were shut, so we went next door to The Waterline. It's lovely. Really nice, classy joint. We need to go there more. Had a really fun time, just sitting, talking and laughing.
Haven't seen Jack in ages, was great to catch up with him. *grin* Although he is a lazy bugger! Carly suggested we walk him home, and he's like "Whit?! It's too far away!!"
It's about four streets away!! But, alas, we love him anyway!
Yes, last night was good fun!

Today means room tidying, and finance work - fun!
