At about 9:30 last night I got a call from my dad. He told that our cat Purrl was in the hospital and may not make it through the night. She had a blood clot lodged in her spine which paralyzed her on one side. At the clinic they took some x-rays and found that she had an enlarged
heart and it was pushing on her organs...more so on her lungs.
We were given the option to see a cardiologist, but the nearest one was either at OSU or in Portland.
We decided after a tough discussion that it would be better to have her put down. When they brought her in...she was so scared. But once in our arms and having us petting her, she started to purr. I had to leave...I could watch they put her down.
Our little Purrl, she's been purring everyday since we brought her home 6 years ago. Good-bye Purrl you will be missed deeply. We all love you...sitting at the computer at home will never be the same without you.
Here are 3 of my favorite pictures of her...
