It's been a while

Yeah. Wow, I haven't posted in forever and some crazy things have happened. Hm, where to begin. Cherie and I are official. Our one-month anniversary is soon, but I forgot already --- and she'll probably kill me especially since she told me on Saturday. Oh well. So we're together. And that's good. I'm happy. I'm one of those people who likes to be single (as long as I'm not sexually frustrated) so relationships don't really complete me. But it sure is nice. I'm making dinner for her tonight because I was blessed with the gift of being able to cook. But I'm making steak because I want steak. I'll cook whenever she wants, but 7 out 10 times it's gonna be on my terms. And this is one of those 7 times. She'll love it anyway, I'm making lemon/lime pepper steak. It'll be delicious.

On another note, I decided not to do Teach for America so Goldman it is. Some decisions are hard to make and some are made for you, and so it is. I don't really want to get into it further, but now I have to go apartment hunting. So Brooklyn here I come.

I'm having passport drama. I applied for it on February 5th in order to go on my cruise on April 1st. It was supposed to be 6 weeks until I got it (aka NOW) and now the site is saying they're not shipping until 10 weeks. So this royally fucks me over. I've been fervently trying to get in touch with the agency through phone and e-mail and no one has gotten back to me. They have my birth certificate too. I'm really annoyed by this, but things HAVE to work out, right?

Hm...what else? Can't wait to play tennis again. I also have a light workload this week (FOR ONCE) so lots of relaxing has to be done. I also started tutoring kids at the local high school. I'm not as good at high school math as I thought. But then again, who remembers factoring and FOIL? And logarithms? Unless you're an engineer constructing bridges, who uses those past 9th grade? Ever? But the good thing about math is that you can teach it to yourself in about a minute if you've learned it already. So after an embarrasing first week where I had to read the kids' notes to learn how to do it. I'm on my game. The quadratic equation has nothing on me.

So yeah. Life is good, mostly. I can't complain. :)
