Yes, I'm feeding my hair. Just using a homemade hair treatment actually. My hair is really dry and my scalp has been itchy lately. Probably because it's been a while since I've done what is usually a monthly hair treatment. I'll share my recipe for happy hair:
1 jumbo egg yolk, beaten
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tbsp sweet almond oil, optional
1/2 tbsp Aceite de Romero (Romero oil), optional *
Mix all together and pour into an applicator bottle. Old hair dye bottle works fine or something similar. Apply to hair and massage into scalp. Place disposable cap or wrap a plastic bag over hair. Leave on for at least 30 minutes but the longer it's on the more good it does (I'm going on two and a half hours now). During final 5 minutes of treatment, carefully use a blow dryer on high heat and low speed over the cap or bag to heat treatment. To remove, rinse out excess then shampoo and condition as usual (I use an unscented garlic shampoo and conditioner). You might have to shampoo one more time than usual. Style as usual.
BTW, this is the same as a hot oil treatment you'd buy in a store (much better in most cases since it's also a cholesterol treatment). Oh, and normally the mixture of the four first (and main) ingredients would stink, but the almond oil and Romero oil are not just good for your hair, they also make this treatment smell fairly pleasant. ^__^
And there you have my bit of randomness for the day. Hope everyone has happy hair! XD
*Aceite de Romero (Romero oil) - I don't know if I've ever seen this sold with an English name on the bottle. It's a mix of mineral oil, lanolin, cottonseed oil and rosemary oil. It may have fragrance and color added. You can substitute plain rosemary oil, mineral oil, or a mix of both.
