I learned a very important lesson yesterday. Do not stab yourself with your own knitting needles. I guess the same would apply to anyone else's either. I was getting out of the car and had my bag on my lap, and my right arm went across to grab the steering wheel to get out. Ow! I look down and there is a size 8 needle sticking out of my arm. Just a little bit in my arm. Owie. This is why I like circular needles so much! The really sad part is I have scraped my arm before on the damn things so I should know better.
I'm rocking this kickin ma ass cold right now. Usually I get all head colds but this one, for a delightful change of pace is a chest cold. Fabulous at waking me up all night long, probably to restart my breathing or some such. I finally took somthing on Sunday because I didn't have to work until 2. Non-drowsy my ass. I was high as a kite an yawning all day on a four hour dose. Lightweight for such a fatass.
I've started a work sweater for myself. Just a 3/4 length sleeve cardigan out of a lovely muted gold color. I'm only two balls into it now. Its hard to not work on it but I've still got so many scarfs to get done before Christmas. Right now on the (deadly) needles is the Toddle scarf from Knitty (I'm making it larger to fit an adult). Its all cable-y so it looks basketweave-y. Mucho oohs and ahhs around the workplace.
