My Fun Day
The day started at the ridiculous hour of 5:30. Today was colonoscopy day for my mom so I got to take her over to Baptist East for the first appointment of the day. My job was to sit with her and sign the papers to take her home as the Responsible Adult. All I did was listen to my ipod (Beegee's Greatest Hits and Classic Queen) and finish my scarf. My first cableing. Its a Christmas present for my boss. One of the nurses exclaimed over how pretty it was. After I explained that she was looking at the back, she flipped it over and exclaimed some more. Mom was the youngest person there. Grampa died from colon cancer so we are all supposed to get them when we turn 50. Mom asked if I saw the doctor and I told her that the doctor said she was clean and shiny like a brand new dime. She asked three times if I had seen him, she was so out of it.
After squiring her home I proceed to work (half an hour late because of the squiring). Immediately I was told to get rid of all the croton and mums we had outside. The croton was understandable because we have had it for a while but the mums we got in just last Friday. I should know, I had to unload all 405 of them first thing back from vacation. But we have a new manager so I guess she doesn't like mums. I was told "we are done with mums." So from 11:30 to 3:30 all I did was get rid of 244 mums and 33 crotons, and put the heavy ass benches away.
Vacation
A visit to "sunny" California and Disneyland. It was cool and rainy almost everyday. Much like the last time I went out there. Farthelldamnpoop. Nice enough but I'm a Disney World Girl at heart. That's my other home. Just the fact that other non Disney hotels are closer to the gate than the Disney hotels is a big negative for the 'Land. But on the plus side with the time difference and the off season hours we would have plenty of time in the mornings to sleep in but get to the park early. Yeah three hour difference!
