2nd Constellation ~ Where Have All My Friends Gone?

[The feed starts as the 3STP hits the floor...again. Young god-wolves aren't good for these devices. Chibi's face comes into view as he looks around, pausing to sniff the device.

A single tear falls on the screen and he barks softly. His mother seems to be gone, and so is a friend.]

[Just staring. Being confused. Now there is a canine in this little box.

No. Not in the box. The little box girl had told him. This little wolf baby isn't in the device in his hands. No. It is somewhere. And would listen.]

Ah...

[...but what to say to a wolf?]

[Chibi's ears twitch and he wipes his eyes with a paw so he can see the screen better.]

[He just looks at the oddly marked wolf for a bit, then gives a small smile.]

You probably can't talk, can you? But maybe you can still understand?

[Wouldn't be that surprising. Certain monsters could be tamed as pets after all. Baby desert wolves were just one of them. And these monsters clearly understood their masters similar to homunculi. Some of them even learned human speech after a while...]

Are you lost?

[Sitting down, Chibi shook his head. Being a god meant he understood speech, though he couldn't speak it.]

I see. But you seem to be alone. Have you lost your parents?

Chibi nods.]

They can't be that far. Do you need any help looking for them?

[Slowly, Chibi shakes his head. Amaterasu is no longer in the city so he doesn't need help looking. It's a kind offer though so he wags his tail appreciatively.]

[He nods.]

As you wish. Is there anything else you might need?

[<>Chibi barks twice, indicating there is...but he can't talk, or read or write.]

Since you didn't shake your head this time... I assume this might mean yes. Now... Do you think you can give me any indication of where you are? This city is huge!

[He pauses a moment, apparently thinking about something, then suddenly smirks a bit sheepishly.]

Or I could send you a signal up in the sky to follow!

[A signal? Chibi wags his tail and barks, curious how that works. but he does pick up his 3STP tilting it to show he's somewhere in the park.]

[Oh! It's trees! Kaosu knows those at least.]

Hey. I think this isn't too far from here! Or I... Hope so.

[Bad orientation? Of course not!! It's just that trees all look the same! As well as buildings. Or streets. Or cities...

Kaosu tilts his own device a little to allow Chibi to see the glowing ball of electric energy in his empty hand before he flicks it upwards into the sky. Quite convenient that Jupitel Thunder was made to be tossed around.]

Can you see this anywhere close to you?

[Looking up at the sky, Chibi barks excitedly and prances on his back legs and wags his tail.]

Hah! You do! You actually can see it!

[He laughs, then starts walking forward.]

So you can't really be that far away, little one! I'll see if I can find you.

[And there he goes, moving towards the park he remembered being close to his current location. So eventually he might even find Chibi there.]

[As long as that nifty trick is in the sky, Chibi is satisfactorily distracted and pretending to try and catch it by jumping up and barking. Just follow the noise.]
