gaah, my feet hurt by then. i learnt my lesson by saturday and wore a pair of his socks all rolled up so that the shoes wouldn't bruise my ankles. they're a size too big for me, and hardened by many layers of acrylic, so they tend to bash my feet up a bit after a lot of walking. but with extra padding they work well! ^^
i need to fix up bits of the costume for next year, but they've lasted well for two years of conventions and even the parts that are worn are mostly just from rubbing against props or regular wear and tear.
shame wigs for guys are hard to find, although will's wig was better styled this time around. i'm hoping to come across something better for him for the next time, although we hope to have secondary costumes made by then, depending on expenses.
anyway, the convention was a lot of fun and i got to talk to a lot of interesting people. there was a lot of talent in the artist's area this year, a lot of people selling nicely crafted keychains and so forth. got a drawing from a fellow artist by the name of tigerfog, who we'd met at a previous convention. i'd seen his art before and liked it, so it's always nice to meet people with similar interests as he likes PSO too. ^^ and he finally got to see our costumes! hopefully we can help him to wear one too next year. ;p *plotplot*
and now back to normal life and the ever-continuing work hunt. ^^; yaay~
